you think of the overall performance for yourself um I'll say there's a lot of growth that been made for our football team over the off season and then transition for game one um definitely excited for what the future hold for our offense but we left some plays on the field we left some things that we we can uh improve on and and when you can put put up those points um on offense that we did today you know it's very exciting for for our team but we acknowledge that there's a lot of growth that needs to be made um for us to be successful in the future what do you think about pret and how he did it left tackle on a short notice I'm proud of him I'm proud of him because of the work he's been doing in the offseason and the work he's been doing this this week he prepped really well this week and um it speaks volume to how he played tonight so I'm proud of him for stepping up I'm proud of him for contining to try to go one and0 try to get better and you know that's ultimately you know how you can improve and how you can get better when you have open mind what do you think of ran Williams really good player really young player um people forget he's 17 years old um and he's a guy that came in the summer season time but I'm I'm super excited for him because he's a guy that came in the summertime put his head down to work you know constantly trying to improve as much as possible as a player and um he did a really good job for us tonight um but there's always you know room for um growth and room for our whole offense to keep on you know climbing the ladder but I'm but for right now man I'm proud of him did it ever turn into flow instead of think think think flow you know I mean with new offense for you no absolutely you know and we got to corit the offseason you know one thing about the off season is no shot class and so throughout the offseason you can you can separate into two pillars where you know strengths and weaknesses as a whole group so you know we got to acknowledge we having Spring ball having summer summer One Summer two fall Camp then transition for game one and I can say that you know practice is very important you know and Coach sh mentioned this to our team um he had someone on you know on our Squad he was like hey how many reps do you have today he was like try to count on his fingers on how many reps he had he said I'll stop you right there you had all mental rep and a physical rep and I think that's very important when it comes to being successful offense is just trying to keep on climbing the ladder and just acknowledge that we're not a finished product K how big was that relationship with you and D'Or you've been with them all offseason your first game what was that feeling like with the two of you it was awesome um what made it so awesome is that all the work that was done in the dark is coming out to shine um today um and you know I'm super excited for our offense super excited for our football team um because we've just had so much growth that I've seen that's been in the dark you know like I mentioned I keep on mentioning you know the offseason period you know when we had those four stages where we just poured so much into each other and it factors into the success that we can have on Saturday so um to take the take the field with Coach the board today we also gave him the game ball today so I super excited you know after the game to um announce that for him and so just to enjoy these moments together Jaylen you got a t on Arnold shirt on right never how is it catching it with him and how has he just impacted you as a player in person that's my brother that's my brother that's always my brother I don't care how far he is away from me um that's my dog I talk to him each and every day I give I give him pep talk he give me pep talks he actually gave me peps off before the game that was pretty funny you know I enjoyed that moment with him I get to see him on the sidelines but no that's my that's my brother man especially just the we both came in together same same class and so now just see the growth of our relationship and just see you know um the love and support he has for me and you know I love him to death that's my that's my bro can you hear what was said in the pregame pup talk shoot a whole lot of cusses that's my da that's myg what you what if you have the first touch down f um keep on going one and0 one and0 um because you know of course you know you got to flip the page you know whether it's a good play Bad play you know plays going to happen that's all it's all about playing football but it's all about One know going to the next rep leading the offense as much as possible keep on um improving keep on try watch the film just keep on um just climbing the ladder you know as we you know playing the game because you know as cliches it is takes all four quarters and it's very important you know you know acknowledging that you know there's more plays to be made on the football field I try do as much as possible and just to have that dialogue between me and Coach the board that's all it was about jayen how can you attack this week of knowing that you're going against South Central Florida and things have just changed from this time last year just to mention to all that adversity you've overcome until now how can you just go into the week what will be your mindset just things of that next keep the main thing the main thing prepared um each and every day every day is the opportunity to seize that day and when it comes to film prep when it comes to prep preparing with the guide whether it com comes to practice reps just seizing every opportunity you know because um as we have game prep it's so important to lock in and acknowledge that each day that goes by you learn so much more about the our football team and the team that they're facing so um what a great opportunity to have now have another game for us um and then also just to put put in display all the hard work that we put in the dark and so now to have that game on Saturday it's going to be very important for us to just attack each and every day have the 24-hour rule enjoy this win that had tonight and just constantly grow and improve you think Ryan Ry you mentioned how young he is he's the type of guy who's going to stay grounded know it's not always right um you know one thing I can say about him he has a great head great support system around him great people around him and so when you have that that influences him you know he's done a really good job just improving getting better and I got to credit the the veterans in the room that that poured into him and just acknowledging you know um you know how you can just pour information to other people and so I think I got to credit the whole receiver room just how special they are and just how collaborative they are with every um every you know rep that they have and um just talking amongst each other and so um to have a guy like Ryan that's just has a Hungry Heart and just constantly wants to improve and constantly just want to do what best for the team you know that's that's something that's great for our offense what was your thought process as he was screaming wide open down the right side shoot go Ryan run go r no but it was just all about no executing the play that close shared and called and you know I read it properly and just was able to just display it to our playmaker he was able to run and score for us you have a pretty strong arm but is it is it even possible to overthrow a guy like Ryan or is he just you just Chuck it and you know he's going to be at the the end of it I got to make sure to warm up that boy can run no he he could run I got I gota make sure I War up on the Seline before I get on the field but um no he just he's a key resource for us this year just to um his speed his attention to detail um intins um just how you know how he just he's a playmaker on the field and so they just been you know great to have him and I got to say it again I made a 17 years old and he's Bing so um just I'm just proud of him but I know he's just want to constantly just get better constantly just want to improve and that's something that's just going to be evident when it comes to his success this year how encouraging was it for you and the offense the defense had those back got stop after the F that's right um one thing is forget about me I love you um I could definitely say we have a family um environment in our locker room family team um everything's about the team and when it comes to being a successful football team is going to take all 11 on offense defense special teams and we just want to come together as much as possible and play for each other um that's something that coach the board emphasized this offseason emphasized um prior to the game just playing together and so that's something that I've seen today was a togetherness you know everything wasn't perfect today but we had each other's back when it comes to improving you know having that one and0 mentality and so um I I just say that you know I'm pleased with the gu's mentality when it comes to family when it comes to have being a team because that's what going going to catapult us to be successful this year what happen on that the mistake the snap was that a miscommunication thing or what was that it was just Jitters you know it's the first game of the season you know and you know you getting acclimated into the game you know mistakes happen you know um of course you know it's a collaborative you know it's something that we can both look reflect on how we can improve but you know this is just a first game J you know and we just want to build and improve off what was that experience with the headsets going out I know the defense first but what was going through you're out here sh had to come down tell me about that Cal calm cool and Collective you know it's it's it's it's all about preparation you know during the week you know we have you know the headset but we also got to look at the sideline for signals and also um for moments like this you know it's all about you know um being calm cool and collected just acknowledging that you know what was taking place but um I'm just you know I just was had great support around me with the coaching staff that just was calm and it just you know acknowledg what was taking place but um you know we we was fine by you know by the end j
