The Score Football Preview - Sterling

Our next stop along the high scl football trail brings us to Sterling. The Golden Warriors are coming off a quarterfinal playoff run, but they did lose some quality players from that team. However, the Golden Warriors hae reloaded and are ready for this season. As you look around the Sterling football practice, you'll quickly notice that their big playmakers from the last couple of years are not there. But John Schlemmer isn't concerd about who isn't on the field. It's more about who is. There'sa lot of young guys, a lot of new new faces, you know, to our program that we're really excited about, but you know, it's new. So we're we're excited to see him play. The warriors will need to replae their 2 quarterbacks from last r Kyle Ryan and JP Schilling as well as running back Antonio tablante o2 quarterbacks we're getting them filled in right now with the running back and our backup quarterback from last year it's a really good competition right now to see who's gonna be the starter I think we got some capable kids back there and some guys that you know you probably don't know their namest but you know early on in the sen I think you're gonna hear him on the highlights and you're goingo see him in the box score and tht that we think guys that that can be really good football playersd some that are ready to make an impact right away last year you know I was out. Since I got to do summer and then the season started and I had to get surgery. So it was it was stressful and kind of sad to sit and watch my teammates fight every day and py teams that I knew I could help . And so this year to be out there with them and actually be able to mae a difference means a lot up fro. The Golden Warriors will be anchored by Division One recruit, Lucas Austin. He's a really good football player we thought had a good job last year. But you you see flashes of a kid that this year that you know they they didn't exist before. I mean he's just done so much wk in the offseason to get himself ready that we're really excited to see him. Yeah, this group, we have a lotf athletes that can create in space and some linen that can block really good. So I think that we can make a deep run in the playoffs this year, a standard that every Golden War team wants to reach each year. Success for us is making a a postseason run. I mean, I want to compete as long as I can with these guys. This is my last year and I feele we have the opportunity to do t. Sometimes teams that that don't have that experience can come out and you know, surprise some people and that's kind of what we're going to do. Sterling will kick off the season on the road this year.
