the juice is loose appreciation clicking on this video they just released the first teaser trailer for Beetlejuice 2 titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and man you can just feel the hype going on on the internet right now I mean I know for myself personally that first Beetlejuice is my favorite movie of all time I've re-watched it about a thousand times I live breathe and die Beetle Juice and if you're new to the channel ask any one of my fans in the comments section they will tell you and stay true to how much of a Beetlejuice lover I am so what I thought I'd do here for you guys is just kind of go through the one minute long teaser trailer talk about some details that Tim Burton and Michael ke have talked about with this movie we got a couple of cast members that have not even been included in this teaser trailer but we know who they're playing like Willam defo overall just getting excited for the movie and what you're really hoping to see from it I'll be curious to hear from you too just make sure you hit that like button subscribe if you haven't already now if you couldn't tell at the beginning of this video I was being a little fous I used to think I wasn't a fan of the original Beetle Juice cuz I had a small memory of checking it out when I was really young and it just didn't do for me but I had a lot of people telling me Chris you need to go back and watch that movie so I did and now I totally understand why people love that movie why it's become almost a cultural phenomenon cuz really I talked about this before with like Ghostbusters Frozen Empire big Ghostbuster fan I do have a Nostalgia and love for that movie but even as a fan I felt absolutely no hype online for a new movie that's coming out this weekend already with just the poster the first look and this teaser trailer there is 10 times more hype online for people begging for Beetlejuice doing well that just tells you about how much people love that original and well kicking things off here with the trailer we start off with kind of the main star and what's going to be one of the biggest draws into this movie Jenna Ortega her star power is kind of unmatched and even if you're someone who's not the biggest Jenna Ortega fan Tim Burton made it clear it was his working relationship with Jenna where he felt confident to finally make Beetlejuice too Jenna Ortega even bike rides her way past the school that wyona Ryder's character went to in the first movie The Miss Shannon School for Girls and she's most likely going to be attending it too but probably the thing most people recognized was the Little Red Bridge where the main characters of the first movie car crashed and died and well this movie will pick up on a similar element because it'll also involve a death in the family Tim Burton mentioned another thing he really wanted to do in this movie is Showcase the three generations of Deets Gina Davis is in here as Barbara we have wona Ryder coming back is Lydia and Jenna Ortega playing astd the daughter of Lydia there's been some speculation to who exactly is the person that dies in this movie to bring them all together many fans have theorize it's Charles Deets the father in the original movie played by Jeffrey Jones but I don't know that would be a really great way to not have to include the actor because uh you can look up what he's been charged for on your own time but it's definitely things where he should not be involved in the making of this move movie and this would be a great way to just have him not be part of it but in the Beetlejuice world just cuz you're dead doesn't mean you're not a large part of the film so I feel like whoever is dead has to be someone that maybe can still be part of the movie as a ghost or Apparition but if not again it could just be the dad from the original movie who just might not show up as a ghost at all now in this same sequence it wasn't shown in the trailer but it was shown in the first look that Entertainment Weekly revealed yesterday was a fourth character that is going to be a large part of this movie a character by the name of Rory played by Justin thorax sorry if I mispronounced that but Tim Burton in his interviews is keeping very quiet about Rory's involvement to the story for Beetlejuice we don't know if this is Jen Ortega's Dad if this is just a friend of the family possibly even an antagonist of the film but it'll be someone to keep an eye out for on this note I also want to bring up what Tim Burton said he wants to do with wayona writer's character of Lydia saying exactly I so identified with the Lydia character but then you get to all these years later and you take your own Journey going from cool teenager to lame adult back and forth again that made it emotional gave it a foundation so that was the thing that really truly got me into it and I bring that up not just to tell you where wayona Ryder is in this movie but to also point out the relationship she's going to have with her daughter and the reason I point that out is cuz it'll help make the new plot of this movie sound a little bit more clear right under the teaser trailer Warner Brothers revealed a plot going with beetlejuice's back after an unexpected family tragedy three generations of deep family return home to Winter River still haunted by Beetlejuice Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter ASD discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the afterlife is accidentally opened with the trouble brewing in both Realms it's only a matter of time until someone says beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem and I mean that plot pretty much spells out what we see in this minute long trailer is Lydia going up to the attic seeing the model home the Little Beetle Juice sign and Michael Keaton's Beetle Juice coming out and saying the juice is loose anybody else think he was going to say Showtime I really thought he was going to say Showtime but the juice is loose is more iconic now also love the horrified look that wayona Ryder has I mean she almost accidentally married this man last time she saw him you can tell she's very frightened another big thing I wanted to point out about this movie that Tim burn talked about is just the use of practical effects this is a movie that's going to use minimal CGI there's going to be some in there but overall he says it's going to be more like this but he does confirm he'll be using stop motion animation to bring a lot of the classic Beetlejuice effects to the screen it needed a Back to Basics handmade quality it re-energizes why I love making movies and I so agree I kind of love stop motion animation in effects that's a lot of the stuff that made that first Beetlejuice movie Stand Out to me and made me go wow this still kind of holds up to this day sure there's some wonky green screen and weird moments that are like outdated but a lot of the stop motion stuff still really worked for me in the world of Beetlejuice and that's what they're wanting to do lot of practical effects probably going to be a lot of cool monster designs I can't wait to see the Dune worms come back that's one thing also when I watch the movie I'm like dang everything's inspired by Dune I hope they bring those Dune worms back but just from this short practical effect shot of Beetlejuice coming out of the model home Michael Keaton still having that gray voice along with his makeup look like he looks fantastic I hope he is a large part of this movie and they don't use him that sparingly sure you can see some of the aging and the close-up shots but again I feel like that works for Beetlejuice he's not exactly supposed to look in tiptop shape one more thing that Tim Burton revealed was a character that wasn't included in this movie but is a famous actor you're aware of William defo where in the article it says here his role is a b movie action star who died and became a police officer in the afterlife and that's just an interesting thing right there William defo is playing a police officer in the afterlife that's one thing I also really loved is the creativity and the fun in the afterlife we really only kind of just got a taste of it in the first movie I wonder how much more of that we're going to get in this second film and if we're going to involve a cop he's definitely someone that's going to be chasing down Beetlejuice maybe even American Psycho style oh crap and I also almost forgot to mention the song thrown in the movie Deo it was a slow down kind of eerie version I know there's some people who think that's cliche when trailers do that or they think it's dumb it worked for me I know the banana song is kind of a little bit more energetic hyper and supposed to like be more happy but it honestly worked for me in this trailer I didn't mind it all that much in fact I actually really liked it all in all great teaser trailer I'm looking forward to this I'm sure this movie will be great wonder if they have plans to do more it's just one more fun ROM curious to hear what you guys think
