got a lot of questions over Real Madrid particularly after what we saw in the first half but in the end they register their first win of the season with that 3il victory over viid for more on this let's welcome pitch side of the metropolitano Luis is with us as is sidlo Sid it wasn't supposed to quite be like this was it for Real Madrid no of course not it was supposed to be all about mbappe it was supposed to be a comfortable Victory it was supposed to be him dominating and it didn't happen that said obviously ground mad will be happy with the fact that they won 3-0 albeit two of the goals come very very late I think angelotti will be happy although he recognizes it brings problems that he's got a squad and the players can come on and make a difference and in the end the conclusion you reach really is that just Real Madrid have too much talent certainly for a team like ra R Le maybe a different team would be would be a different story but they were just that little bit too good even with mbappe himself having a couple of chances to not taking them but not having the best night uh Luis how would you rate mbappe today well I don't want to be sound awkward but a six okay good enough to um make a few run try to connect and we need to wait a little bit more about when where this kiling situation is going to change but definitely is a player who at at the time who who is needed is going to um appear and show his class so have no doubt that he will become a top uh player for Real Madrid but definitely he will need to still waiting a little bit to to see if AEL can find a way of of putting him in the right position Kil mbapp at the top of the game at the top of his game that third chance he he's scoring it I mean I I don't think there's any doubt that killing mbapp will come good and be a terrific player for Real Madrid I mean how much of a superstar he will continue to to be in progress because don't forget most of the big stars there have' not only G in as as as big players like he has but they've got better mhm got better by every season as the pressure has mounted you know you look at Cross recently you look at luuka Modric every year up until you know the last couple of years when age's caught up with them he's got better you look at Ronaldo and Benzema they all got stick from the crowd but they all Shrugged it off and they got better the list is endless and it's up to him to see how how good he can be I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say it's been a pretty average start for Real Madrid and him yeah for Real Madrid and him and I think it still leaves this game still leaves as many questions I think as the game last weekend against myor I think those questions are still there about balance about speed of play about link up with all these players that that maybe some will say and an will say well they need even though they're great players they need time to figure it all out that that's fair enough but I think from a uh from a perspective of the performance bearing in mind it was mayorca they expect to win allbe mayorca were excellent last week this is a recently promoted side from the Segunda uh they're at home and for it to be as poor as it was for at least for 45 minutes uh was really really disappointing yes it got better in the second half and yes there was a a deflected goal from the free kick that that got them up and running but I think in terms of the 120 uh The 100 80 minutes plus we've seen so far from this Real Madrid side it is definitely definitely a work in progress that first half was absolutely turgid Sid you were at the game what what was the atmosphere like amongst the crowd watching man yeah I actually think it's a a very worthwhile question then because it was striking to me how quickly it went flat now it wasn't that it was you know everybody had come in expectation because of mbappe it's not that it was hugely noisy game it's 5:00 in August it's not the kind of night you know that that Real Madrid that the burn B is really spectacular which tends to be the Champions League nights and for example me and L were talking about this sitting here tonight was much much noisier here than at the burner Bell but it is true that it was quite quickly a little bit of frustration came in a little bit of a sense of oh this isn't quite happening now I wouldn't by any means want to push this too far and say there were whistling and they weren't impressed but they weren't very impressed but I think everybody knows that it will eventually come good but it but it did didn't tonight and and you're right in that first half at least there was a kind of a ladness there was a kind of a flatness not just about the performance but I think about the stadium as well but as we've mentioned Luis the fact that you've got someone like brahe Diaz and then you've got endri coming off the bench with so much excitement that makes the difference Real Madrid with regards to their Ambitions this season compared to pretty much everyone else we want to see them playing well we want to enjoy all these players getting together so yeah I think that we have to wait and see what's happening but you can see that the the the squad of this Real Madrid side is going to be ready to to face every single competition because when arou he was in today I think he did a fantastic job when Ibrahim Diaz came in the second half and even Henri they score goals they assist so they changed the the way of play so I think that angelot must be very happy to have a um a bench there with so many options you got to tip your cap to Ibrahim Diaz aren you because it's not just today it was a big chunky last season when you have all these superstars is just something special for a coach to have yeah I mean they've got a lot of great players but he really has surprised me in the last 12 to 18 months or so is somebody that's really stood up and said hey if you're struggling and we're flat I can come on and this isn't a huge game and said touched in it with the atmosphere but there's been really big games with the Champions League last year where he has done it and that is great to have somebody that's not perceived as a superstar but can come on and consist consistently and I mean consistently be a game changer and that's what Diaz has been uh Real Madrid then finding their first win of the season
