Weather team. We're not the only ones keeping an eye on Francine, meteorologist Corey Smith explains to us what the National Weather Service is expecting here in the mid south. That's right, Danielle. And you talked about it, some of those products that the National Weather Service is already issuing for the mid south, including that flood watch for Lafayette County. As of right now, we're gonna see if this gets expanded. But I think the heavy rainfall is really gonna be the main story over the next 24 to 36 hours. If we take a look at the forecast from the weather prediction center, especially east of Memphis, the shades of orange and red is a sign that we could be expecting 2 to 4 inches, maybe even a little bit more locally of rainfall over the next 24 to 36 hours. So there is gonna be that potential of some localized flash flooding. We do also have that wind advisory in place for the entire viewing area. Wind gusts could get up to around 40 MPH or so that could cause some possible power outages. But let's take a listen here. I went over to the National Weather Service and meteorologist Todd Beal, talk to us about what they're watching at, at the weather service for the system. Another thing we'll be monitoring will be the potential for some quick spin up tornadoes. Those typically occur with land falling hurricanes. Right now. The better ingredients look a little bit to the east of the area down towards Alabama, but that's going to be something we're monitoring outside of severe weather, drought has made soils very dry with tropical rain rates. Todd says this could very easily create isolated flash flooding. And if we have a lot of rainfall occur over a very short period of time with high rainfall rates that could run off pretty quickly. So while overall, the soil could probably take several inches of rainfall if it just occurs too quickly over a short amount of time, you could still quickly have some runoff and some flooding issues. So I wanna show you this graphic real quick. It's a timeline of these impacts that we're expecting winds, the potential of tornadoes, flooding and power outages and notice most of the impacts in the afternoon and into the evening hours. Now we're gonna break this down hour by hour coming up a little bit later on in the show, Danielle, we'll have that full forecast, but back to you, Kevin.
