all right we are here in the home office I am back for my training camp trip the 24th of 25 teams visited was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers I saw them in a joint practice against Miami Dolphins I have five takeaways from the three-time defending NFC South Champions takeaway number one Liam Cohen's going to make a big difference in the Run game for the Buccaneers the new offensive coordinator is taking over for Dave Canales and he has evolved the Bucks Run game in a way that hasn't evolved in quite some time he's bringing in a system that is very much like the Shanahan F system he worked for sham mcveay on two separate occasions in Los Angeles so you're going to see that slashing one kit Cut Zone type of system and the good news is they've got the lineman in the backs to pull it off on the offensive line of course Tristan wors is an all pro at left tackle opposite Him Luke geki has really emerged as one of the better right tackles in the league they draft Graham Barton to be their Center a real middle of the fair away first round pick so they're good on the offensive line and then in the back field you know Rashad white and Shan Tucker coming back the guy to watch here might be Bucky Irving a rookie they drafted out of the University of Oregon he's got a very aggressive style he sees it fast he's one cut and go very much a fit for that style of offense so Bucky Irving is a name to watch as a guy who could produce behind Rashad white at tailback takeaway number two um we know what Mike Evans and Chris Godwin bring to the table at the receiver position the Buccaneers feel really good about their depth there now and some of the guys they've drafted over the last couple of years Trey Palmer's been a little beat up but he brought a big play Element last year and then two guys they drafted this year Jaylen McMillan coming out of the University of Washington of course played with Roma dun and Jaylen P there he was the third of three Washington receivers drafted um back in April he's tough he's tenacious he's smart it's be a really good fit for as a slot receiver and a guy who can play all three positions in Cohen's offense and then here's the real story of Camp it's cam Johnson an undrafted free agent out of Barton College consider this Barton College didn't even have football until 2020 they dropped it in 1950 brought it back in 2020 cam Johnson arrived there as a 120lb quarterback he's still short but he's Stout and he's explosive and I'd expect that not only he's going to make the team I expect that he's going to have a role on offense and in the return game one of the best stories of camp and Tampa takeaway number three Yaya diabi is definitely a name to watch on defense and they're going to need him to come up big for them as a pass rusher he is freakish athletically big strong ran a 4 five before the 2023 draft but he was a little bit raw and one of the reasons why at Louisville they used him as an inside pass rusher a lot he still had to develop as an edge rusher that's happen now and even last year as a raw player he had seven and a half sacks I'd be surprised if he stays healthy and he got a little banged up in Camp if he stays healthy if he's not a double digit sack guy takeaway number four corner is a big question and Zion McCullum their fifth round pick from 2022 is going to have to be one of the answers he's very physically gifted 6'2 fast they have high hopes for him they just needed to show up on the game field he started nine games last year so he got his feet wet they're expecting him to be one of their better players on defense and his development is one reason why they felt okay letting Carlton Davis go but with some questions at that position Z mum's going to be a pivotal player for the bucks finally takeaway number five I'm going to give him some credit here they did a really they've done a really nice job over the last couple of years of turning that roster over it was an older roster when Tom Brady was there they still have some older guys Mike Evans Chris Godwin's getting a little bit older Levante David will gston Vita is is a little bit older now as well but for the most part it's a very young roster and consider this they've drafted 23 guys over the last three years 22 of those 23 are still on the roster and I think will'll make the 53 man roster and I wouldn't be surprised if you include the undrafted free agents if more than half of the 53 man rosters from those three draft classes which is pretty remarkable again considering where they were just a couple of years ago [Music]
