we know that monetary policy is a blunt instrument and the impact is being felt unevenly across Society using a generational split in what's happening with spending most definitely we're fortunate when we were born at that time and being able to build some collateral the older people have the money to spend and the younger people are finding a bit tough it's not as simple as one generation doing well and others doing badly but as the cost of housing has rocketed those who've paid off their housing have found themselves in a better position I'm retired I own my house and I've got money in super bloody hard for them with the mortgages and the numbers that they've got now compared to when we had our mortgages it's just astronomical that a lot of the younger people are trading on their parents for a lot longer than we traded on ours people who are late middle age and older seem to be very comfortable and they and they seem to be spending as per usual are you saying you cause inflation well sometimes spending money yeah cuz if you got money you spend it so yeah that doesn't help inflation
