Another setback for the Biden administration in its effort to lower student loan debt. The Supreme Court decided at least for now that the latest multi billion dollar plan cannot take effect. But on CBS warnings, the education secretary said despite the rulings, the Biden administration has forgiven over $170 billion for more than 5 million American borrowers. And that battle is not over yet. The Supreme Court and uh lower courts also have rejected some of the plans which we disagree with, but we're gonna continue fighting for borrowers there. Millions of Americans right now that need a little bit of support college debt shouldn't be a life sentence. Critics say any plan to forgive student loan debt is unfair to the millions who have already repaid their loans. And they also say it's simply transferring that debt over to taxpayers.
