yesterday we talked about 10 programs who are making major changes to their stadiums from missou fixing their North End Zone to USF building a new stadium entirely and even Penn State preparing Beaver Stadium to host winter college football playoff games there is a lot of money and a lot of Renovations going around in college football so much so that 10 examples were not enough a ton of you guys commented different schools that also are having Renovations and since the video is doing well I thought I'd come up with a part two and we have six more to talk about today we're to go through their Stadium projects what the details are and what it could mean for the programs but before we get started if you're a big fan of college football be sure to subscribe to the channel leave a like if you want to support today's video and let me know what player team topic or situation I could cover next now let's get started and talk about six more crazy Stadium Renovations okay so the first school we need to talk about is the Wyoming Cowboys they recently announced their quote restore the war campaign as they're going to try to renovate War Memorial Stadium they will need significant funding from both the Wyoming Legend lator and a few athletic department givs in total it'll cost around $20 million and the renovations themselves will mostly be to the west side of the stadium while they will be in the process of currently reconstructing it it'll be finished before the start of the upcoming college football season it'll also feature a new Concourse new lights and even better seats for fans to watch the Cowboys play War Memorial Stadium is almost 75 years old so it is in desperate need of renovation the second phase of the renovations will take place after this upcoming season is over and is slated to include a complete overhaul of its broadcast booves it'll also see changes to its media decks and a new club area on the lower west side and the upper west side of the stadium with the Mountain West forming a scheduling agreement with Oregon State and Washington State there was some talk about a reverse merger where only the better teams from the Mountain West and American will be added to the new pack 12 if they choose to do so despite being a member of The Wack for a long time Wyoming was consistently left out of those conversations for realignment maybe with these new Renovations they're trying to make sure that their name gets brought up and that the Wyoming Cowboys won't get left behind I'm definitely a fan of what's going on out there and I hope that Wyoming gets a chance to improve their stadium and Fan Experience the second team we need to talk about is a much bigger brand and that is the Florida state seminal dope Campbell stadium is is one of college football's most historic place is to play a football game and Florida State's been undergoing a renovation ever since last year it should feasibly be done around the college football season this year and it's kind of interesting to look at the stadium with all the seats gone right now most of the renovations come down to new seating options and they're also trying to improve the game day experience honestly not anything really substantial is happening but they'll have new chairback seating access to indoor Hospitality spaces climate controlled amenities and an expanded food and drink menu for fans to enjoy watching the seminal but keeping up with the arms racing college football is an everyday thing and Florida State wants to stay with it we're also renovating a football facility at do and this includes upgrades the meeting rooms the locker room a recruiting Lounge football offices and a wait room this will now have recover y pools and cryotherapy Chambers for players hope I said that right Florida State said quote the goal of the stadium renovation is to update historic dope Campbell stadium with a number of new modern seating experiences that our fan base has asked for over the years the result will feature our iconic oneof a kind stadium with new and refreshed experiences related to seating climate controlled subspaces and amenities the third school we need to talk about is the Texas Tech Red Raiders they're also doing something similar but also completely changing the appearance of their Stadium it is known as Jones AT&T Stadium and to do so in September of 2023 they started with new Turf and lighting for light shows eventually though it'll go a lot further than that as they'll do a complete Rebrand of the South End Zone and it'll have a price tag of $230 million but it'll be finished sometime this year the renderings for the new South End Zone will give it a distinctly Spanish Riviera style and it make it much different from just about every other stadium in the Big 12 the head leadership at Texas Tech is hoping to make it one of the most distinctive stadiums in a place that fans will want to put on their bucket list to watch a game play they also want to help improve the game day experience for Red Raiders fans and season ticket holders and it'll also connect to a new football Center which will be four stories tall it'll also enclose the entirety of the stadium into a bowl and that is similar to a lot of other programs despite completely changing the look and the purpose of the South End Zone the most distinctive part of AT&T Stadium the Double T scoreboard will be staying and will be moved to the top of the new End Zone it'll be joined by two brand new state-of-the-art video boards and alongside those additions there will be a brand new entrance area and updates to The Concourse as well as premium seating coach offices and locker rooms for Texas Tech and the visiting teams I look forward to seeing what Texas Tech does and with all that oil money and all the money going into that program Texas Tech is trying to take a step up and be a top tier program in the Big 12 the next gool we need to talk about and fourth on the list is the Houston Cougars they recently made the jump to the Big 12 and the main renovation going on at tdcu stadium is that they're adding a brand new video board this will be awesome and will look great the reason why this is funny is that they'll go from having the smallest video board in the Big 12 to now having the largest one once Texas leaves that's because Houston's brand new video board will go sideline to sideline in the West End Zone and will be 38 ft tall and 68 ft wide that's not the only upgrade to come into the stadium though as Houston's been renovating it since they announced they were joining the Big 12 Conference they broke ground after the Oklahoma State game last year and they want to make it more of a power five level stadium and they hope it'll be done by the end of 2025 we've also been working on a $140 million football operations center and that will go right next to the stadium it'll place all the football operations in the same facility and make things a lot easier on everyone there the coach's offices will be in a new modern style of building with a red staircase and the entrance will be 30ft tall glass as well underneath the party deck is a ton of new premium seats and lounges and on top of that Houston's also installing a literal party deck to their Stadium it kind of reminds me of what the Jacksonville Jaguars did with all those hot tubs and pools and Houston to go from a program that had an afterthought Stadium to one of the nicest in the Big 12 and will hope to expand their brand even more another old stadium with a renovation looming on its Horizon is Florida's over 90-year-old Ben Hill Griffin Stadium it's one of the most historic in the SEC and in the country and they're going to potentially have a $40 million renovation start soon they're looking at six potential architecture firms in plants for renovations to the stadium that will keep them up and running they want to be one of the greatest stadiums in the SEC and V Hill Griffin Stadium will need some improvements to get there they also want to be one of the top stadiums in the country and the guidelines for these Renovations has to cover three things according to the university one it has to enrich The Fan Experience two it has to extend the life of the stadium and three it has to maximize revenue for the athletics department with everything going on with the employees and all the nil stuff money will be hard to come by and they will have to suck every last drop out of every game some of these new designs to Ben Hill will feature new bathrooms concession areas and new club and seating options some other plans include different ways to make the stadium itself more recognizable and even more picturesque for the average fan they want to give it a little bit more character like with some of the exterior design options they're coming up with and even fan plazas as well as new tunnels to increase The Fan Experience overall and create a huge glass Atrium in one corner of it there's also potential TOS of adding an overhang to the stadium and this will keep fans a little bit more cool in the hot Florida Sun during those game days nothing's been set in stone as of right now but Florida Stadium might become one of the more interesting ones in the country and could be one of the most state-of-the-art places to play a football game in a few years the final team we need to talk about is one of the cooler stories in all of college football and I felt like adding even though no one commented it we're going to talk about UT Rio Grand Valley this is one of the cooler stories in college football these last few years as UT Rio Grand Valley otherwise known as utrgv is starting a brand new football program they were set to join the whack but that ultimately would fall through and now they're going to join the Southland Conference of the FC s in a few years but before that they need a place to play in February they bought a 10,000 person capacity Park which was home to the FC Toros a professional soccer team this will be where the Vipers play their football games and it's a pretty decent stadium that already has had a rich history they've also unveiled plans for both an Athletics and a performance center and it will feature indoor practice fields offices and weit rooms HEB Park will also be renamed to UT RGV stadium and already has a few decent amenities given its former life as a soccer place it has 20 acres of Festival grounds on its campus making it perfect for expansion as well as an existing video board an Amphitheater for pregame events and existing Suites this is one to keep an eye on because if UT RGV grows and gets better I can see them moving up from the FCS to the FBS pretty quickly and they would have the room to expand from 10K to even 20 or 30k it's also really cool to watch this program get born and come out of nowhere and it reminds me a lot of UTSA so yeah today we talked about six more programs who are either building or expanding their football stadiums and I hope you guys enjoyed it if there's another program that I forgot be sure to let me know down below leave a like if you to support today's video and let me know another crazy obscure topic I could do next also before you go don't forget to check out part one and I hope to see you guys again soon but until next time peace
