Pat. Well, guys, this is not the senator's first rodeo. He's as good as anyone I've seen at pivoting and dodging questions. And I have to say he put on a remarkable exhibition of that. Today. Senator Wyden returned to Oregon yesterday after a busy week in Washington DC, we caught up with him in the Albina area of northeast Portland. Today. The future plan for this area is multi use businesses and a housing project. Senator Wyden was asked directly if he thinks the president should continue his bid for re-election. Look, the lay of the land right now is the president is running? The president reinforced that last night. So there's a lot of speculation about various ideas and the like. But that's the fact. How's that for a pivot? Very good. I'd say here's another example. The same reporter reminded the senator that he had said the physical fitness of both presidential candidates should be evaluated by every voter. And then asked Senator Wyden how he would evaluate the president's physical fitness. Now, he answered a totally different question. Listen, what I recommended to the Biden administration and have reinforced it, uh, more recently is there, is no substitute none for direct candidate voter back and forth, unscripted, you know, moments and the president happens to be very good at it and Senator Wyden happens to be very good at dodging these direct questions back to you.
