This morning, more than 20,000 acres have burned and forced evacuations in several mountain communities. KOCO Mcaboy tells us firefighters did manage to make progress on the blaze overnight. The green area is under evacuation warnings, and the red area is under mandatory evacuation. Just barely able to get through the road. Fire crews are working around the clock to protect property and keep the line fire from spreading through the San Bernardino National Forest. 3200 families have evacuated. We want to make sure they're still there when they come home, and we still have a lot of homes in the warning area. And again, I urge those residents if it's going to take you a while to evacuate, maybe start doing that now and leave early. San Bernardino County is now in a state of emergency after a proclamation from Governor Newsom. There are several road closures as well. Fire officials say they're hoping to start containing the fire soon, but the conditions have been dangerous. There were three minor injuries on the first day of the fire, and they've all been treated and released. Those three firefighters are doing great.
