[Music] howy folks hope you're all having a good one and welcome to another episode of a game of throws in World of Warships with rare Admiral Jingles honestly this is one video series I am never going to run out of material for but that's not a good thing well I suppose it is but it also isn't anyway what do we have for you today this is Ben the legend in the French tier 10 Destroyer although it's more like a light Cruiser the Maro he's in a tier 10 Airship escort Battle although there are some tier NS present here on the hots spot map the fact that this is Airship escort and not random battle is going to be very very important unfortunately it's a fact that most of Ben's teammates don't seem to have understood and the reason it's important is because Airship escort work very very differently to random battle in a way it doesn't really matter in Airship escort whether you sink any enemy ships or whether you yourself get sunk oh here comes the enemy aircraft carrier don't worry we're going to be seeing a lot more of him as this battle develops Ben's going to be having all kinds of Fun With the Enemy USS essic although it's not really a case of the enemy carrier just picking on Ben for for the sake of it I mean he kind of is but the enemy carrier is just playing the objective at the moment and for the majority of this battle Ben is going to be the only member of his team bothering to actually escort the Airship and it's escorting the Airship that wins this game mode not sinking enemy ships I mean you can still win by sinking all of the enemy ships but that almost never happens you see the way this works if you have a look at the map you'll see that his Airship and the enemy Airship both have starting locations and over at the Western end of the map there's an exit location and this game mode is decided by which team's Airship reaches that location first and that's the only thing that's really important you can speed up your Airship by getting friendly ships inside your Airship escort Circle and you can slow down the enemy Airship by getting your ships into the enemy airships escort Circle although that's a obviously very very dangerous although it's more or less dangerous depending on where each team's Airship is you can again look at the map and see the route that both airships will follow they start off as far apart from each other as possible and then there are several instances where they get a little bit closer and that's where things get extremely dangerous for anybody who's actually playing the objective and escorting the Airship and as the only Destroyer on his team a lot of that responsibility is going to fall on Ben's shoulders oh here comes the carrier again because of course it is no he's managed to dodge those Torpedoes this is fine it was close the fact that Ben is the only Destroyer on his team means that there is an inordinate amount of responsibility on his shoulders and the Maro is not really good at this sort of thing cuz it's kind of big its stealth is kind of bad and it doesn't get a smoke screen although the smoke screen is going to be of limited use because of radar and how close you have to get to the enemy team at certain points along the airships route in order to actually affect its progress Ben's actually radar right now and I'm pretty sure that's the enemy Stalingrad and here comes the carrier again fun for all the family the enemy team do have something of an advantage here because Ben's team only have one radar the De Moine the enemy team have two as well as the Stalingrad they also have a destroyer the Gdansk that is well it's more suited than the Maro for this sort of thing and it also has radar although it's Destroyer radar so the range and duration aren't great but it's still radar now at the moment Ben's team are building up a slight Advantage both team's airships are currently moving at a nicely sedate pace of about 12 knots oh B radar again that's probably the good Dan so it shouldn't last for too long and yep here comes the carrier again however Ben's Airship does have a very slight lead over the enemy team's Airship because of Ben's efforts earlier within the influence Circle speeding his Airship up to 18 knots and he's going to need to get back in there yeah that was almost certainly Gans radar it's already expired oh and he's radar again that's probably the Stalingrad again however yeah Gans shooting at him from that extremely suspicious looking smoke screen over there you can see the positions of the two airships there's a slight Advantage for the friendly Airship and that Advantage is only going to get better because with Ben in the circle his Airship is now moving 6 knots faster than the enemy Airship at the moment his Airship is going to reach the exit point and win in 8 minutes and the enemy Airship is going to get get there in slightly less than 13 minutes now here comes the friendly cronat oh his team do have two Radars of course the cronat has radar he's using it right now my bad the enemy Stalingrad over there is now actually within the influence circle of the enemy Airship which means both team's airships are now doing 18 knots although Ben's Airship still has that slight Advantage so if they can knock out the Stalingrad who is getting heavily focused down here that not only reduces the enemy team's radar count by one but it's also going to slow down the enemy Airship but remember there are two ways of slowing down the enemy airships progress one either sink or Force away any enemy ships from the vicinity of the enemy Airship and they're having a damn good try at sinking that Stalingrad or get one of your own ships into the enemy airships influence Circle and that's exactly what the cromat is going for he is of course getting very heavily focused as is the enemy Stalingrad for exactly the same reason but with the Stalingrad down good job Ben and the friendly cronat now negatively affecting the progress of the enemy Airship it is slowed down to six knots and Ben's Airship is doing 30 which now means the enemy Airship is traveling so slowly that it is basically not going to reach the exit point before the end of the battle and also if nothing else changes Ben's Airship is going to get there in 4 minutes you see killing the Stalingrad didn't actually directly change anything because there were no points the friendly ball going sing the incomparable didn't actually change anything because you don't get points for syncing enemy ships and you don't lose points for losing friendly ships because there were no points in an Airship escort mode obviously the cronat over there is never going to survive that Rush headlong straight into the teeth of the enemy team but it doesn't really matter that much his death isn't going to affect a score there isn't a score his sacrifice was totally worth it I with the kron's death and the death of the Ohio and the de Mo which isn't good but doesn't directly affect the progress of the airships but with the KRON stats death both airships are now traveling at 18 knots but the KRON stats sacrifice has bought his team a two-minute Advantage simply by playing the objective this is the point where things do get extremely dangerous for anybody trying to do that however because again if you have a look at the mini map you can see that the paths of both airships start to get very very close to each other which means that in order to influence your Airship you have to get dangerously close to ships on the enemy team trying to do exactly the same thing like the enemy Gans over there who's basically doing exactly the same thing on his side of the map that Ben is doing over here and the Maro positionally however things are about to get very very bad I mean Ben does have two allies with him there's an appy behind him and an ARP yam up ahead but the enemy team now have an opportunity to make up some time because when their Airship is lagging behind as badly as it currently is it's easier for them to speed it up because the battle is actually happening over here around Ben's team's Airship where the rest of the enemy team are all clustering around the exit point now they're going to suffer some losses doing it but look at where the rest of Ben's team are with the exception of Ben himself the Napoli who died and the ARP yam who just died there isn't another member of his team within 10 km of the Airship oh and here comes the carrier again no Ben is stopping because there's no way the carrier is going to be able to get a successful drop off without it Torpedoes hitting the wreck of the yam good move Ben he's gone undetected but the iuki over there uh did have him spotted long enough to be able to land a couple of decent hits his team's Airship do still have that two-minute Advantage they had a 19 minute Advantage at one point and Ben is still in that Circle still accelerating his Airship here comes the carrier again of course and he's radar so yep the Gans is still out there somewhere and relatively close there he is okay he has to kill the Gdansk and I don't think the Gdansk is going to survive this Ben doesn't have an awful lot of hit points left either and he is not going to survive the gans's return fire however it's all good it doesn't really matter directly whether you live or die in an Airship escort Battle the only thing that matters is maintaining the speed advantage of your own Airship or if you can't maintain that speed Advantage then build up enough of an early advantage that it's going to cross the Finishing Line before the enemy team's Airship and horribly out of position though the rest of Ben's team are it still doesn't really matter because all they have to do is stay alive for the next 3 minutes which isn't asking a lot and their Airship is going to cross the finish line a full 2 minutes ahead of the enemy Airship all they have to do is stay alive oh dear I did say that Airship escort battles almost never end with one team being completely destroyed today is the exception to that rule for some reason the replay doesn't actually show it which left me very confused when this battle suddenly ended with a couple of enemy ships still alive and it said defeat all Allied warships destroyed but that is actually what happened another World of Warships replay bug and just in case you don't believe it if you have a look at the team score and you count up the number of kills that the enemy team achieved it is exactly 12 ships killed and that's a fairly impressive achievement not so much for the enemy team but for Ben's team I mean aship battles are normally over so quickly that there just isn't time for one entire team to manage to get themselves killed but somehow today Ben's team Managed IT throwing away the sacrifice not just of Ben but also of the other Duty hero in the cronat who between them managed to contrive a nearly 19-minute advantage over the enemy team but Ben's team still somehow found a way to throw it all away bonus challenge for today re-watch this battle and take a drink every time I say Airship actually no no don't do that I don't want to be responsible for killing anyone anyway uh commiserations Ben what can I say that was truly awful um and I hope everybody else enjoyed watching
