v a lot was made of the uh the leadership that you guys lost this this offseason you know six of the eight captains from last year how do you feel like you know this new wave of leaders uh on this team has emerged this summer I think uh to be a a great football player you have to have um some element of leadership you know especially to make it all the way up to this level and all of these guys are capable of of leading whether it's verbal whether it's by actions um whether it's you know mental stuff that they can bring to the table but everybody on this team is a leader in some form or fashion and the young guys it creates the opportunity for these young guys to step up and be leaders as well you know TB has been a leader for a while on this team and he's going to be one for us this year he's a great leader and just create space for all the the new Young leaders to come up you mentioned TB I was going to ask you if if anyone in particular in your mind has has sort of emerged in that role yeah TB TB for sure and um yeah I'll just be his vice president I'm I'm the vice president that's been there before and I support him on whatever decision that he make and um I told him the other day you know um it's not about always you know um waiting for the right time to say something or waiting for the right thing you just got to say it and then I back you up on that so leadership is uh in good hands here in uh with the Buffalo Bill what type of leadership has anyone else's play on the field stood out to you just with what they've done in training camp and preseason Christian Christian Benford CH Christian Benford has taken a huge step um he's ready for that leadership world as well um D King k dwson Knox all these guys are are are great players D daan Kate is he's incredible I've been a fan of him since he got here and year two being in the league for a whole another year it' be great um to go out there and and see him put it out there how do you feel where you're at with the regular season now just around the corner I feel good um this my 14th year in the league um you know I practice hard um I push myself in practice so whenever game time comes you know I'll be I'll be ready for that as a team how do you feel like this group kind of evolved and you know we're a couple weeks away from the regular season now um yeah the the the team is uh in a great spot um we got a standard here in Buffalo standard has been here way before I got here way before any of these guys were on the team and you know we're just trying to uphold that standard of of Buffalo Bills football
