Intro hey everyone it's Alfia thank you so much again for tuning in today we're going to be talking about a good doozy movie today I just recently watched this movie last week and I have my girl Jennifer Woods to come help me discuss this a stolen baby if you haven't already please watch this movie um would you like to take the lead Synopsis Jennifer hey everyone my name is Jennifer woods and thank you so much for inviting me to discuss stolen baby the murder of Heidi brousard with you today Alfia it was definitely a heartbreaking one and it's a true story with shades of empty cradle baby stature and ultimate deception crazy that this case occurred after all of those movies were made clearly this Megan lady watched way too much lifetime to briefly recap the movie it's about a woman named Heidi who has a little boy named Aiden who's maybe five or so and a newborn baby girl as well with her fiance Cody the little girl is named Emma and she suffers from junce and is being treated for that Heidi is depicted as being a loving Mom though perhaps a bit overwhelmed it's so sad to see her sweet relationship with her son during their morning routine knowing that she's not going to get to watch her children grow up that's a given sorry if that spoils the movie for you but it's right there in the title this is a movie about the crazy stuff people do to one another it's not meant to keep you guessing so I will say if you're looking for something full of twists and turns this is is not it but if you're looking for a tense psychological drama this is a good one early on in the movie while Heidi is home alone with a baby she gets a call from her friend Megan who's sitting right across the street in her car squeezing out fake tears Megan claims to be having some relationship problems and is needing her best friend's shoulder to cry on so Heidi agrees to come outside to talk and of course she brings the baby with her she probably would have even if Megan hadn't asked her to but Megan did SP specifically ask her to bring the baby and there is a reason for that as anyone who read the title probably figured out before even pressing play honey gets in the car with Megan who wants to go just down the street somewhere to talk but they never get to that place because it is very clear even before Heidi got into the car that Megan had bad motives Heidi's husband Cody comes home to an empty house he is alarmed when he's not able to locate his wife by calling all of her friends also alarming is the fact that she failed to pick up their son like she was supposed to she left their daughter's diaper bag behind and their daughter is sickly so this is very concerning to him this isn't just a grown woman walking away from her responsibilities or taking a little breather something is wrong and he convinces the police to start starching sooner than they would have if he hadn't been so adamant about it we also find out that Heidi and Megan were allegedly pregnant together but this was actually a lie Megan told Megan only claimed to be pregnant prant so that she could hold on to her boyfriend a little longer but when she pretended to be pregnant she needed a baby to go along with it around the same time Heidi goes missing Megan's boyfriend comes home to a new baby Megan claims she went into labor had the baby and was just sent home almost immediately this is strange to him but he is so excited to be a new dad that he just lets it go this scene reminds me so much of both empty cradle and baby stature both of those movies involved a woman f a pregnancy to hold on to a man both women went on to steal a child but the reason this also reminds me of ultimate deception is because in that movie a man kills his best friend's daughter-in-law so that he could kidnap her baby and raise a little girl with his wife who is desperate for a child if you like stolen baby you'll probably like those other three movies and if you have seen those other three movies and enjoyed them you'll probably like stolen baby it's a really tragic case and it's just insane what some people will do to get what they think they want it's available to rent or buy for under $5 on Amazon and I think that's a good deal you could save a dollar if you buy the SD version which I'm pretty sure I did because I am always looking to cut costs where I can that's the main way I know of to watch this movie so check it out I have to say I was super excited to see Haley Joel osit younger sister Emily in this I don't think I've ever seen any other movie she's been in before though there is a song of hers I like called Truth or Dare it's so weird to think of her as his younger sister because I picture him as this young kid still though I did see him as an adult in the Bundy movie extremely Wicked shockingly evil and vile on Netflix thanks again for having me Alia and take care everyone remember no man is worth committing murder for also don't come up with some stupid cover story that you had the baby and were released immediately the same day don't claim you forgot the name of the birthing center you went to and jantis is nothing to play around with I was so frustrated with her for not only killing her friend but gambling with the life of a baby who had health conditions on top of everything else anyway those are just some of the key takeaways here I give this movie a three and a half out of five Review stars wow just watching this movie Stolen baby it was very emotional can you just imagine being friends with somebody and and they lie to you and they want your baby they steal your baby and and end your life for it and it's just like when I was watching this movie I was like why did she lie why she just didn't come clean and say she was never pregnant I know she was trying to keep her boyfriend but he didn't want to be kept like the old saying goes a baby won't keep no man and what made you end your friend's life your friend Heidi was your only friend Megan and you really killed her for her baby and then you lied about it and you covered it up and it just the signs like the car why didn't you you never you didn't even dump the body but then you were searching for stuff it's like you were so paranoid and you can tell that there was something really wrong with Megan and she was dealing with abandonment issues and just other things but Heidi was really your friend and when she was missing you told them to look into Cody and we're looking like wait what and Greg your boyfriend well your ex-boyfriend he's letting you stay at the house and he's taking helping you take care of your friend your your deceased friend's child that you ended her life to take her child and Greg was so happy to have a child but I mean I know he questioned some things but he really sat there and took care of a child and then when he was at the grocery store the Texas Rangers was like do you know this you know this woman do you know this baby and he was like yeah that's my baby and how can you how can they even explain to him that's not even your baby and how did you when you got caught how did you even you know you know your life was going to catch up to you but you didn't care and you really Final Thoughts did I just I feel bad for Heidi and I felt bad for Megan because you really did take somebody's life for a child just for a relationship he was not even worth it Greg was not worth it and I understand you wanted somebody to love you but that was not the way to go you took a young baby's mother's life you took a son's mother away from him all because of a lie that you told your boyfriend and you was getting you you were in Heidi were supposed to be having a baby around the same time and it was just crazy and they people saw the signs but they didn't think you know they probably didn't think that um Megan would do that to Heidi and it's just had the movie was good but it was very sad and it's just sad that you was friends with Heidi and you ended your friend's life for her baby it's just crazy um if you haven't watched this movie please please please watch it it's a mustat but it's very sad it reminds me of myty cradle and this is this is still people still do crazy stuff and I I don't know for the life of me why people do crazy stuff I'll never know that but it it was just sad this movie was very sad it's a good movie but it's sad um thank you so much Jennifer for coming to talk to me I always appreciate when you come sit down and we have our conversation we
