what's going on everyone Chris from picks.com here with your free pick in the Miami Marlins vs Washington Nationals major league baseball match up going down Wednesday September 4th 2024 just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribed to our Channel smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets the games that I love including my daily $19 best bet head on over to pick dogs.com and click the premium picks tab at the top of the page but let's get to this one between the Miami Marlins and the Washington National the Miami Marlin sending out Valente bioo for the start in this one while the Nationals will counter with McKenzie Gore and Gore had a really rough stretch pretty much coming out of the allstar break where he was getting shelled left and right but now in backto back starts and back-to-back tough starts as well six Innings of you know quality baseball you know if you go back to the all-star break you know Gore had a six- start stretch basically from the All-Star break up until a couple starts ago where he had a 7.0 ER but his last start six Innings a two-run ball against New York Yankees and a win you know six Innings a one-run ball against the uh the Atlanta Braves and it was a 3-2 game for uh for the Braves you know but the Nationals were competitive until the very end so give uh give Gore credit where it's due he's pitching well and you know putting his team in a spot to win games against some tough opposition now he's up against a Marlins team that yeah has been able to put some wins together here and there we'll have to see how Tuesday series opener goes but I'm just I'm not liking the form that the Marlins are in and you look at their numbers I talked about it in uh in Tuesday's video with the uh the Marlins and the Nationals their numbers against left-handed pitching or at least you know well first off we'll talk about record against teams starting lefties it's not good 9 and 38 entering Tuesday's match up where they're taking on Patrick Corbin another Lefty but the Marlins have been one of the worst teams in baseball this entire season against left-handed pitching and I don't think they're going to be able to drum up much here off of Gore who is definitely a much tougher draw for the other Miami Marlins than Patrick Corbin again we'll have to see how uh how Tuesday series opener goes but then on the other side you got beoo who was really pitching well for the uh for the Marlins early on in the month of August had four straight starts where he went at least five run uh five innings and gave up two runs or less but in his last two starts spanning eight and twoth thirs innings of work Boo's given up 12 runs 11 earned six home runs in those two starts seven walks 14 hits against the Rockies and the Cubs the Cubs are hitting well but the Rockies not necessarily the most imposing lineup but part of that may be because the start was at Kors field now the Nationals don't get me wrong this team has not necessarily been producing at the plate overly consistent but the thing is the Washington Nationals are round League average in terms of Team Ops they're hitting 264 against right-handed pitching and I simply trust their lineup more do I trust the bullpen eh that's to be determined a little bit I don't love this this uh this Nationals Bullpen but right now it's certainly better than the alternative and as far as I'm concerned for the Marlin you know you got to be able to score runs consistently to be able to win baseball games and right now it just looks like the Mars or team that's kind of playing out the string wall the Nationals are at least playing with some pride in my opinion so I'm going to go with the Washington Nationals and this one and entering Tuesday I forgot to mention this they've kind of owned the the Miami Marlins this season entering Tuesday the Nationals have won all seven meetings between these two teams this season so I'm going to take the Nationals in the money line in this one and that's going to be my free pick but just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribe to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets you can find those a pick dogs premium while you're pick dogs check out our betting tools they're 100% free they're the best betting tools in the business and tools that you want to make sure that you have in your back pocket when you're making your Best Bets for the day's action thanks for watching see you guys soon by
