you 24 years ago as an unproven entity he said well listen everybody laughed at me in my friend grp they said no way I'm going to get this job for Texas well he won them over because of his proof he proved that he invest in his people and I guess he get and we are underway and here we go that's the early point from Minnesota oh my goodness here we go come on Master second serve is returned but earns Minesota to the outside forays yester has really exploded as the go attack for this Minnesota team she's been playing behind a player tored land for the past few seasons during her time at Minnesota but this is her year to shine landfair transfers to Nebraska so Julia Hansen steps into that other outside spot for the golden goers rord her second match is a longor and D down Forin on the board for the first time this is something that Texas is so good at in 5050 BS right the top of that's Micon Skinner right there on the left my favorite Allstar player and a year ago she was a NCA final four most outstanding player and I knew it and that and she [Music] was and a year ago M was the an final four outstanding player I cannot ever believe my ey this going to be heck of it halter provides that back so stability no what we have who we got uh who are the supporters well we only have the the vball fans up on us a little bit we knew halter was having a good you down at the stat leading the goers to the second round of the NCAA tournament last year these teams always serve tough you can count on this Minnesota team being a very good walking team Dev we only got just about a fewer volleyball fans in at this place but I know earlier today it was Stanford versus Wisconsin and we had just closed it out on [Music] that goer the first of the one is a player that she's not always going to go to that Power Attack she's really good at hitting these off spe attacks and going right off of the block you'll see her throwing a lot of chips and shots and pushes to the corner one of the big evolutions for w she was in Minnesota two years ago in the middle The Freshman middle blocker coming in she is as good as adver one of the [Music] top line you've already seen her play a little bit internationally at a young age I mean she's been phenomenal talk just a fresh but she's been in the USA circuit on the won in23 but she's played High cross with a t outst now the team we're rooting for to our tonight's game will be is Texas longor when three years the goers all played under hum the head coach at the time's exposive on the outside this is such a fun player to watch not only up her reach is so high but she's got such a powerful arm to go down on it especially a Carlon up front a much shorter blocker for Texas on the right side look for Minnesota to keep swindle is so physical front but Carl her ball location her experience her leadership is something that demands to be on the that's good both played yesterday both expected to play today but Carlson touch call and it's not a fingertip touch call it's really difficult to tell whether that ball actually hit an arm or not all right take another look at oh yeah that hits an arm all right that little easier to tell I hope the challenge would be successful that's a really good push off of the block from Jen it takes great Court Vision to see that arm up there and just swipe it off that's what makes really good outside hitters not being able to just bounce the ball but he plays like that so jedel keeps challenge number one and we have CHS around from the long [Music] bench the eag eye shows up again he said this team has just been so much fun to coach and the culture around this program he says over the last three seasons especially has really been the best that it's ever been in Texas T college volleyball right now Matty Skinner up to four kills early in puts it away just sneaking it right inside that block great Court Vision fromer to not only identify that team early on then finish her hand right through it Middle's just slightly late to that and reaching back inside allowing that team to open up [Music] the middle for single send sha Master long ways from the N decides to play free single no doubt that single has been massive for Texas she was playing behind incredible middle blockers over the last few years including Asia O'Neal but now it's her time to shine she feels like she can really take over single debuted in that prominent middle spot yesterday with Nine Kills at 438 eight blcks yesterday insane we were both excited to see the the match up of net defense after what single T did yesterday and after Minnesota had 14 blocks as a team and it's stford a for McKenna wer serving really tough to start and again that's something they have to do against a team like Texas that is so good inside out situations because their pass is so good I mean the ball movement on that serve is so tough to do can she do it again that's a pretty good swing from single T just taking that thumb down a little bit to much the line didn't have to be that tight down the line she had a lot of space to work with Rio Minnesota run right there sometimes when you see those really tough you also see that ER number going to climb up just a little bit Skinner serving up to take it Jenna W get involved blocking wise setting this up perfectly identifying the line of approach for that right side attacker and getting right in front of it to shut it down B Master Le [Music] and that b almost perfect but that's the window that you have to work with sometimes a ball could become an over right at the bottom of the neck you get that ball just a little bit higher and that's perfect looked like Skinner was doing something with her hands thinking through something technically what do you think that was about yeah I think trying to manipulate it just a little bit more and getting that ball higher with the lift of the arm wus good work from mgee to keep the point alive for Minnesota single off the hands single is bringing too much power for that Minnesota block the Block in a good position to make the play but she's just using so much heat behind it it drops
