see out hereo right uh yeah and I guess adding to the Arsenal right trying to expand as much as I can and show how I can help in any way um had a fun fun time doing it today right out here with the fellas um they told me about it this morning uh they said hey we want to look at you doing this and try to you know show all you can do and so sure let's do it and so uh yeah had fun how do you balance the response of like all right that's good that they want to see me there versus what am I doing wrong at quarterback that I'm not getting more work there yeah uh I mean I think it was related to me right that uh it was not a reflection of anything that that you know yeah that I've been doing I've been told I've been doing uh good at quarterback right they just with Russ coming back he's getting healthy right it's going to start to cut my numbers down and my reps down and uh they they want to find a way to to keep me incorporated right and allow me to continue to get reped um obviously know the offense right been in the been in it learning it the offseason and now and so uh jumping in any way I can two Targets two receptions right I mean that's a good start we'll take it we'll take it yeah a little time think it's something you can do it's something within your skill set that you could be eff NFL receiver I did it yeah I did it for a year at Old Miss um I did uh yeah I played I played a receiver for a season Old Miss and then I transferred to UCF and played quarterback the rest of the time uh so I did it for a year right it's not something that's completely foreign to me right but um obviously I think I'm uh obviously look at myself as a quarterback but would love uh to show all that I can do and that's what I'm try to do was there a plan that you could have maybe gotten in a quarterback at the end of that game or did just not work out that way yeah I mean that was that was the plan but you know how you know games go sometimes it's it's it's they happen quick right situational ball they're trying to do what's best right and so um they felt like Kyle was rolling and so they said shoot for keep getting out there and doing your thing he had a great game I thought I made some big time throws did some big time plays and so um allowed him to to continue continue playing that game gave us a shot right there at the end to Win It team meetings I mean are what are you in almost every meeting how's that work for behind the scenes uh I mean for right now I mean like obviously in special teams meeting um and I meet with the quarterbacks right um and so and then at night I study right and so I've been I've been doing that I'm pretty religious about doing that um you know trying to to to to balance um you know talking on the phone Mom and Dad and and keeping up with with Lucy my girlfriend and also studying pretty hard at night as well and so um but pays off because I'm able to to go out today on a short notice and say hey I can I can do it because I know I know I know the I know the spot I know I know where they're supposed to be um it's just about getting there right so you weren't just in the slot too right it was also Z at one point I mean you were ling up yeah they were moving around right um and so quarterback three I appreciate you man I appreciate you uh but anyway uh yeah mov me around but I I try to study and know everything like the back of my hand right and so um it paid off for me John how would you describe what it's like to return kicks under these new rules uh it's fun it was fun to get out there and be the one to kind of start the game right that was that was fun for me right just kind of set the tone uh I told I told the fellas hey I'm going to hit it right like I said it's either going to be a house call or a 911 call ended up getting smoked by my guy but you know hey it happens sometimes we're still working out the Kinks of it um and so look forward to continuing to get better at that um make some bigger plays in the pi off logistically so you're wearing gloves when you play receiver no gloves when you're returning and playing QB like you're just doing a lot I guess throughout practice to prepare for whatever spot you're in yeah I mean again like just trying to to show all I can do right I'm I'm out here trying to live my dream right and uh play at the highest level play football at the highest level and so um whatever that looks like I'm ready for obviously again I I see myself as a quarterback uh but again I can do a lot of things I know that God's blessed me with the ability to do a lot of things and so I want to showcase that the guys got pretty hyped for you it seemed like when caugh those Justin and Kyle and Russ and especially right there they're fired up for me to get in there and mix it up with the fellas and so um yeah it was fun it was fun how many positions in college did you play uh played quarterback receiver I played off returner at Old Miss I returned some punts at Old Miss um I think I ran down on a kickoff or two at Old M uh a held uh so doing a couple different things you play baseball too right I do I do I did I play baseball as well
