the Princess of Wales released a new statement praising the power of nature in supporting our development and wellbeing the duchess's words were published in a series of Stories on her official Instagram page expressing her support for the opening of The Natural History Museum's new Gardens the 42-year-old who is still undergoing chemotherapy following a cancer diagnosis visited the project in 2021 to see its progress and in her message she voiced her support for the project and spoke of how she knows the power of nature when it comes to supporting people and keeping them physically mentally and spiritually healthy she said in the message I am hugely supportive of the Museum's commitment to create a special space which encourages people of all ages to reconnect with nature and learn more about how we can protect our natural world I know the power of nature to support our development and wellbeing both by bringing us joy and helping to keep us physically mentally and spiritually healthy I hope these Gardens will be inspiring and transformative for the thousands of people who visit The Venture in central London opened to the public on Thursday and aims to support Urban nature scientific research and education and contains a brand new bronze dinosaur a giant 22m long depicus it features two gardens the Nature Discovery Garden and the evolution garden over 5 Acres wrapped around the museum site in South Kensington and tells the story of the changing natural world the new landscape opened as a free to visit outdoor gallery as well as a living laboratory to support nature recovery in the face of climate change the 25 million pound project is expected to be one of the most intensively studied Urban nature sites globally her message came just days after she presented Carlos alares with the Wimbledon Men's final trophy it was her second public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis Kate who is Patron of the all- England lawn tennis and croquet Club spoke to ball boys and girls after entering Center Court to thunderous Applause on Sunday afternoon wearing a purple sofhia dress she attended Sunday's finale with her daughter princess Charlotte and sister Pippa Matthews her first public appearance since Her diagnosis was last month when she attended the trooping the color parade with the rest of the royal family she has previously spoken about her health acknowledging that there are good days and bad days and explaining that her treatment may continue for a few more months I've been overwhelmed with so many lovely messages of support and encouragement over the past few months which has made a huge difference to William and me and helped to get through some of the more difficult times I'm making good progress but as anyone undergoing chemotherapy knows there are good days and bad days on the bad days you feel weak tired and need to rest your body but on the days when you're doing well and feel strong you want to make the most of your health my treatment is still ongoing and will continue for a few more months on days when I feel well enough I look forward to participating in school activities spending my free time doing things that give me energy and positivity and doing a little bit of work from home I am learning to be patient especially in the face of uncertainty I take each day as it comes listen to my body and give myself the time I need to heal thank you all for your continued understanding and for being brave enough to share your story with
