so today uh we're conducting the very first Patrol Deputy of the Year competition and what that entails is a PT test and also uh the SRT run and gun shooting event which we're going to conduct here very shortly so the people that are eligible for this are uh Patrol depes that have been nominated by their supervisors and what we'll do is um do these events and then we'll do the records review as well and that will be uh like their evals their statistics for the year it'll be their peer review high fives and any awards that they've gotten so far so they're going to um get on the treadmill I think it's going to be at level 12 and they're going to run for a minute and they're going to come they're going to run right into the range they're going to put their Glock pistol together and then um they're going to go through a series of shooting um at a small Target using cover and doing reloads we're really hoping to accomplish here is to build camaraderie within the Patrol Division a sense of Pride and uh people getting ready for this test or this competition are you know they're working on their physical fitness they're working on their shooting and they've been working hard all year uh being a proactive Patrol Deputy so if we get anybody in the Patrol Division that worked a little bit harder um for this competition we figure it's a win okay
