why did rightwood fa so well in the bridge fire one the community was prepared for the threat of wildfire two the residents had a plan three the residents used that plan four Sano County Fire had pre-planned responses into this area with our Cooperators LA County fire department and the Angeles National Forest five with residents evacuating firefighters were able to focus not on Life Safety because that threat had already been reduced it allowed us to focus on structure defense six when we went to enact our structure defense measures defensible space was found at numerous homes throughout the community having a plan and being prepared works the bridge fire took homes from this community but the fact that this community is still here and as intact as it is is a testament to the planning put in place by the community by the residents and by First Responders thank you
