here with Coach Tod shulenberger coach let's start with the obvious one uh congrats 100 career wins uh that's incredible over 10 seasons nine if you disregard Co can you just talk about that and the journey you've had here yeah it's been great uh like I've been saying um you surround yourself with great coaches former current great players former and current and then uh these kids work hard so uh winning is always difficult we always say that especially the game of soccer and made it work for it this weekend for sure so uh yeah very glad very fortunate happy to to get to that Milestone and uh Now we move on and uh get ready for our next big task at hand and you mentioned uh you know winning is never easy you got a couple this weekend home opener in front of 2600 fans on Thursday 2,000 fans on Sunday getting wins over Montana and Idaho um how does that help just going going into this weekend a big road contest with Stanford and getting those wins under your belt that's good you needed the wins right you need to bounce back after the disappointing loss of Purdue um and you want to get some sort of uh energy U some sort of positive going into the number two team in the country playing Stanford so we went to go there on a high and positive we did we accomplished that and uh we'll get ready back to training here this week get ready for Stanford Thursday uh against Montana you got the clean sheet three- Z three different goal scores too um can you just talk a little bit about maybe what you learned from that game offensively defensively going forward what I learned what I thought is that we're going to have multiple people hopefully score goals this year it's not going to be just a one person show that's a good thing um keeps off the sky report second thing is I learned we got better the ball this past week and Montana is a very good side and I've had some great results this year and uh you know we created a lot of offense in that game and uh we got some setpiece goals and we got some goals in the Runner play so there was a mixed bag um kids stepped up was a tight game at times and uh we got the result we were looking for and uh Nadia gets her first clean sheet of the year that leads into Sunday getting the 2-1 win over Idaho their one shot as we mentioned a very offensive heavy on our side um you talked a little bit yesterday in the radio show just about um quality of chances and wanting scorers not Shooters and uh did you see that on Sunday again they they they equalized and then you had to hunt that uh winning goal again uh in a in a way we did I think TR is our goalkeeper she an outstanding performance and goal um so the balls were on frame for the most part I thought there were more on frame in that game than Montana um again the score didn't dictate the score versus the shooter because we had scored two setpiece goals but uh reality is I yes I think we're getting better at that it's it's always a work in progress and uh keep fir way and hopefully get some more here and Nadia gets WCC defensive player of the week um again a credit to her really a team award when you talk about a defensive thing being able to keep a clean sheet um can you just speak to her development and looking at her she came in hot as a freshman and here she is a senior still winning wars still growing still maturing and she's doing a fantastic job what a completely different young lady which most kids are when they get here in Pullman their freshman year when they leave their senior year and uh n's a great example of a great young lady who's done great things for this program happy for her Scott's doing a great job with her and the goalkeepers right now on the field and uh I'm looking for more awards from Naughty down the road here and you said you get these two wins under your belt uh you get a full week's rest and preparation to go down to Stanford and play the number two team in the country familiar foe not in conference but as you said um a great team to have on the schedule both both directions so uh expectations there where do you get the teams head out for uh a Sunday road trip like that to my expectation is always simple we we're here to win and uh we know we get a tall task but hey we're going to go down and give everything we got and my goal was to win this game it's simple we're not going down there to do anything other than that mindset and we'll start training back here tomorrow and uh you I mentioned you have a whole week here um does that fluctuate what you do you just get some more time uh recovery you get some more time in the Scout room what does that look like for you guys just in a week lead up a little bit more evaluating about ourselves a little bit more rest and nutrition for those young ladies and start our prep earlier for Stanford with a one game it's a one game for them as well so uh we got four or five days to put a good report together and get some great trending as well awesome we'll see you Sunday at 1:00 thanks coach thank you
