ads tec SRB5060 Samsung 24s lithium ion battery

so battery hookup has these uh ads Tech SRB 560 uh battery assemblies I believe they're from industrial UPS uh not a whole lot of information on what's actually inside the assemblies so I figured I'd make a video uh hopefully give some people uh some useful information so inside of each assembly you get three of these uh they're 2 Kow a piece they're at 8s configuration so about 28.8 volts [Music] nominal uh lithium ion uh Prismatic cells Samsung uh their Dimensions about 17 in Long 7 and 1/4 in wide and then 6 in tall uh uh each one has balance lead and temperature sensor lead there's four temperature sensors in each module uh you can pop off the top of these pretty [Music] easy uh bus bars are welded if you were to reconfigure these you'd have to of course cut the bus bar is probably not ideal for some situations um if you're trying to save weight [Music] or or just uh you know you just need a lighter assembly you can take off these this outer steel casing but you're going to need something to hold the cells together CU they're basically just hanging on by the bus bars at that point uh this assembly with the casing weighs 41 lb uh the rest of the assembly or the uh what you the rest of the assembly that you get of course with the three modules uh it's all aluminum bus bars uh I know some people don't quite like using aluminum for bus bars so I figured that was kind of a that's some useful information uh load testing for uh capacity testing one of these right now uh battery hookups website has a little uh pin out or a diagram showing you the pin out of these balance leads uh temp sensors they're mounted on the bus bars um don't know the beta value on them so kind of hard to use them with a controller or something like that without that information still trying to figure it out uh so yeah so got a whole slug of them hopefully going to use them in a Nissan Leaf battery extender but uh yeah hopefully that information uh helps you out all right thanks for watching
