former president Trump is set to speak at a news conference from his golf course in California this hour now his remarks come after Trump declared there will not be a third presidential debate hello everyone this is outnumbered I'm Kaylee mckin on this Friday here with my co-host Emily compano also joining us co-host of fox and friends anley aart director of the tech policy Center at the Heritage Foundation Cara Frederick and co-host of fox and friends first Todd Pyro vice president kamla Harris insists there should be a third presidential debate two nights ago Donald Trump and I had our debates you watched it did you watch it and look I believe we owe it to have another debate right we owe it to the voters but former president Trump says he is done debating when a prize fighter loses a fight you've seen a lot of fights right the first words out of that Fighter's mouth is I want to rematch I want to rematch and that's what she said I want to rematch polls clearly show that I won the debate against comrade Camala Harris but she immediately called for a second debate which means that she was like a price fighter that lost a fight we had two debates though I had a debate with crooked Joe Biden right and I had another debate with her there will be no third debate it's too late anyway the voting's already begun and controversy is following Tuesday's Showdown holster and former Clinton strategist Mark Penn says ABC News should do a full investigation into the debate I actually think they should do a full internal investigation hire an outside Law Firm I don't know how much of this was planned in advance I don't know what they told the Harris campaign uh I think they're that that that the day after uh suspicion here is really quite high and and I think that uh I I think a review of all their internal texts and emails my my it really should be done by an independent party to find out to what extent they were planning on on in effect you know factchecking just one candidate and in effect rigging the outcome of this debate and I I I think I think this situation demands nothing less than that and he's a Democrat look there was something that opened my eyes this morning anley from the LA times and it is about the preparation that David mure did for the debate along with his co-moderator and this is what they said with co-moderator David mirer Davis that's lindsy Davis had studied hours of campaign rallies and interviews to prepare for the much anticipated event at Philadelphia's National Constitution Center and were ready to counter the candidates most egregious statements I mean one candidates we should say uh the decision to attempt to correct the candidates was in response to the June 27 CNN debate between Trump and President Biden whose poor performance led to his exit from the race when I read that I hear in other words Trump trounce Joe Biden that can never happen again and therefore we are going to watch Trump rallies not both to check one candidate exactly that's what I heard too so first of all I don't blame Donald Trump he already did the debate in June June June 27th he did the one on ABC last week on the 10th he said he'd do the Fox News debate at the beginning of September commala said no so he did a town hall with sha and Hannity instead so he still came on she didn't show up so I don't blame him he's done two debates already uh just with two different candidates and he says I'm done and he says his internal polling is saying that um it didn't move the needle for Comm Harris and it did for him so he says I don't need to do this but I agree with you it was plural David mure and Lindsey Davis said we were ready to counter the candidates plural most egregious statements but they didn't counter kamla's egregious statements here's where she lied she talked about the Heritage Foundation car you know he wasn't involved in that that was she called it Trump's project 2025 she said that several times um said he supports an abortion ban that was sent back to the States he's not Banning abortions ban on IVF he knows that a lot of women rely on IVF or men to to start a family he never said this then she said Trump's going to cut Medicare not true said that Trump supports a national sales tax not true there were dozens of lies that she said and not once was she fact checked that that is so well said I mean Todd if you watched both candidates debates you would have seen kamla give the IVF lie you would have seen kamla give the lie about a National Abortion ban and you would have fact check it Che checked it so lindsy Davis David M you didn't watch commas and if you did you made a concerted decision not to check her I have a contrarian view on this oh I want to hear this ready for this I'm I'm not ready for this does ABC News really care if they are considered biased with regard to this debate hear me out on this the debate was one night David M one of the hosts of the debate his show since kamla Harris became the nominee for the Democrats has had 100% positive coverage for Kamala 93% negative for Trump and oh by the way his show at 6:30 p.m. World News Tonight is number one in the ratings so does he risk losing his core audience or does he double down on the anti-trump this because clearly his audience loves anti-trump let's say m and Davis were right down the middle and did the fact check that a good moderator would have done it's not like at 6:30 the fox audience is going to be like he forget Brett beay I'm going to flip it on over to David mure that's not going to happen so they didn't there was nothing to gain for them by doing their jobs the right way it's a perverse incentive Kaylee but they did it for the business and I think at the end of the day I'm curious to see what happens over the next month with ABC's ratings did they steal from MSNBC did they steal from the other farle networks at 6:30 going to be curious say yeah they're partis an activist and and I don't think they care being portrayed as such you know Emily moving this forward to a third debate before the cameras even shut down like the lights were still bright in Philadelphia and KLA Harris's campaign team was already out on Twitter saying we want another debate political Playbook has a wise nugget today they say generally a front runner is Keen to sit on his or her lead and as two extra debates the lagging candidate is often looking for more opportunities to break through and advocates for more confrontation in other words if KLA was such a front runner she wouldn't be asking for more debates right look we see it at the with children right every time I get up this softball when I strike out I want to get up and right you want to redeem yourself when I hit a home run then I'm like I'm cool I'll sit the rest out you want to retire after the Super Bowl it's such clear strategy it's such clear analysis of the behavior and I think what's so fascinating for Americans to see is that night of Polish the veneer helped in part of course by the 100% positive ratings and the zero factchecking is look at her after that on on the rally we reverted back to the cackling we reverted back to the zero substance for some reason she sort of put on the Cape of I got this I understand the assignment but everyone sees through that night and since that there is no substance so the other irony is that while she's calling for another debate Americans have been calling for policy Americans have been calling for articulation and more fundamentally they've been calling for a restoration of the time when President Trump was President because that's when we had more on our kitchen tables we had more in our wallets we had more Safety and Security on the streets so she can call for as much as she wants but I think it's also important strategically that President Trump keeps saying there's not going to be a third one because the the campaign for comma keeps saying second but no no no he's already put in his two because it was Joe Biden yeah and Cara here's the case for not doing a third debate this is the real clear politics national average and what you see here is commin with a 1.5% lead but when you compare that to Biden he had a 7.4% lead at this point in 2020 she is way way way behind so why give her airtime why give her millions of Voters eyeballs on an unfair debate stage now a Fox News debate would be different that would be fair but why go into NBC or CNN or these unfair places no I think that's totally right especially after witnessing the pile on it was three-on-one we all saw it on Tuesday night I don't know maybe Cala is looking for another Taylor Swift esque endorsement since Taylor endorsed her during the debate but you know as you said when you win the Super Bowl you retire you don't immediately jump up and ask for another one and if we need if we think about why these debates exist in the first place if we're keeping a venure of you know working on behalf of the American people you got to hold these people's feet to the fire I mean the pitiful policies of the Biden Harris Administration 10 plus million illegal immigrants coming across the border at its height over 9% inflation American interests are being attacked all across the globe as people have said before the world is on fire they had a duty to talk to Kamala Harris about that cuz remember she's styling herself the change agent and the best thing I've seen so far is you're not a change agent because you had 3.5 years in office to actually make this change and help America if Trump wanted to destroy America he would have done so in his first term if Kamala wanted to change America she would have done so in the last three and a half years come on we haven't seen it and to your point I I wish they would have asked her at any point during this Administration have you stood up to President Biden and said no Mr President in the situation room as the last person in the room before Afghanistan did you tell him no I believe the answer to that is no all right well critics are accusing former president Trump of being too angry at the debate well Trump says he agrees with them he is angry in fact he's outraged why he's so mad next former president Donald Trump is angry and he doesn't care who knows it watch people said that I was angry at the debate angry I was angry and yes I am angry because he allowed 21 million illegal aliens invading our communities many of them are criminals many are criminals I'm angry they said he's an angry person no they're destroying our country I am angry about Venezuelan gangs taking over Aurora Colorado [Applause] I'm angry about Young American girls being raped and sodomized and murdered by Savage criminal aliens I'm angry about rampant inflation destroying our middle class and the American people are also very angry about that and every other thing that we've had to endure for three and a half years that's why 54 days from now we are going to tell Harris that we've had enough our country can't take it anymore Kaye you know what I appreciate about this so much is that this is another example of when the left tries to spin president Trump and his emotions as being all about him and president Trump is sitting there saying yeah I am angry and I'm angry on behalf of all of us for what is being done to this country yet again for the upth time it's actually not about him as a human it's about him as a fellow American and you hit exactly where my thoughts were look mccourtney Institute for democracy in January did a survey and they found nine and 10 Americans are angry about some news event they could point to one some political event and only four and five or about half could say they were proud of a particular American political event I say that because Americans are angry I am angry every day I have to sit here and talk about NYPD officers in Times Square being attacked by an illegal immigrant a girl in New York City being raped by an illegal immigrant when I have to get to know the stories of lake and Riley Rachel mouren and Joselyn nari who should still be here with us I get angry when 13 died at Abby gate I get angry hey I get angry when there's a school shooting and six days later there's a presidential debate and ABC finds no time to ask about school shootings but tons of time to ask about j6 and all of these personal attacks on Trump but for Trump and this is the point you hit and it's so important kamla is trying to get him to direct that anger towards his own reasons to be angry at the Trump trials and the list goes on and he does have a right to be angry about all that but if there's another debate he should pivot that anger away from saying here's my thoughts on the Trump trials like you're trying to to go me into doing I want to go back to the fact that you were asked a question about migrant crime and you talked about the Trump trials it's not about me it's about these women say their names so redirecting that anger as he did right there brilliantly to the events in the American political landscape is a winner every day of the week and let's talk about winning Cara so will this type of sentiment the fact that yes Kaye is echoing what so many millions of Americans feel the outrage the indignance the pain will that translate in November I truly hope so because I sort of see Trump right now as the avatar for the middle class you know no matter what Cala Harris says about her upbringing and whatnot Tony neighborhoods in Canada notwithstanding uh I really think that Trump has his finger on the pulse of what the everyday American is feeling and you look at the immigration issue I thought the house Judiciary Committee was really interesting in terms of their strategy this past week on Tuesday they had a hearing where they aired the victims of this open border Biden Harris open border issue and they talked to Advocates they talked to family members some of which uh of the women that you just mentioned and the Democrats were looking at their phones they were chiding the family members of some of the victims in this instance and yet you could not watch that especially as a mom without tears understanding the effect that it has on the people who cannot isolate themselves from the consequences of the disastrous policies of the left so that is what I think the American people are going to be pulling the lever for in uh November hopefully yeah and however the media will continue to not only smear president Trump but to paint him as an angry bitter self like they will still try to construct this fake narrative about him will that work that is why what Kaylee said her advice for the president channeling that anger into to these two topics the economy and the Border SL safety I'll wrap them up is so crucial admittedly I am a guy and guys are simple we like simple messages boil down to two basic facts at the most so if I'm Donald Trump you need to communicate to everybody going forward the following thing kamla Harris was part of the Biden Harris Administration for the last 3 and A2 years we have record inflation we have record border crossings if you don't like that vote for the other guy and I'm really driving home this Simplicity point you want the last thing that an undecided in a swing state thinks about before they check a box or pull a lever or do anything is one image Trump needs between now and November 5th or whenever early voting begins in a state to have it so that he is the last thing that people think about before they pull a lever all the other stuff needs to go to the side and that's why Kaye is so right channel that anger Angley I wanted to come to you last on this specific point because as we talk about sort of harnessing the anger and the outrage that so many Americans feel 90 million evangelicals are eligible to vote in this country and yet 40 million of them do not and 15 million are not even registered Pastor Gary Hammer had an amazing election sermon where he discussed that statistic and talked about the importance of voting policy not personality and so as the left as the media tries to spin personalities here when it's really about policy do you feel that President Trump will be able to harness that very crucial block that needs or should be called to step up to vote for these policies that will help Americans I loved when one man said what do I tell my children I have three boys this was at the Town Hall and Donald Trump said tell your boys to pray evangelicals definitely need to get out there and vote the abortion issue is very important to them KLA Harris couldn't even answer the question whether or not she's for or against 7 months 8 months 9 months when is it too late when the baby can feel pain are you okay with that she couldn't answer it she didn't answer other questions when asked are you better today or are you better under Trump she couldn't answer it she spun it to I grew up in a middle class family and started talking about her policies look this you might not love Donald Trump and he said that in the town hall you might not like me it is about who's best for your family and what's best for America we were better under those four years with him than we were with her all the prices look at the grocery store the gasoline price even just um just for social issues policy fiscally conservative it's all Donald Trump my I align more with them what am I concerned with immigration crime and inflation I want more money in my bank account and then we'll spend more money and the economy will boom again y that's right and what you just articulated your your priorities that is reflected in the polls that the majority the vast majority of Americans feel the same that those are their top three priorities vote policy not personality now Vice President Harris is facing push back on one of her top debate claims about the economy As Trump proposes a fresh new tax break stay with us former president Trump unveiling a new tax break this time on overtime pay he says it will boost Americans incentive to work I'm also announcing that as part of our additional tax cuts we will end all taxes on overtime you know what that means think of that think of that the people who work overtime are among the hardest working citizens in our country and for too long no one in Washington has been looking out for them those are the people they really work they're police officers nurses Factory workers construction workers truck drivers and machine operators it's time for the working man and woman to finally catch a break a lot of people celebrating when they hear that I want to pull up the Trump tax policy which is now Todd no tax on tips no tax on overtime no tax on social security extend Trump tax cuts the latest one no tax on overtime I imagine commo watching that and thinking oh darn why didn't I think of that how long till she plagiarizes you stole my line that whole joke I was going to be like hey have you guys heard about K's New not stolen completely original policy to not tax overtime it's great um here's the problem right now and we all know we've talked about it a lot she talks in platitudes like I am going to be the president for the middle class and then never fills it in with one specific Donald Trump comes out with specific after specific as to how he's going to accomplish goals and then commus steals him it is unbelievable but here's the problem to the earlier point that we made in the a block here if the mainstream media doesn't cover Trump and only fact checks Trump this is going to get into The Ether so that's why it's incumbent on Donald Trump to drive home the message KLA Harris is responsible for inflation KLA Harris is responsible for the Border I've got plans put me in office and you will pay more in kamla Harris's America she talks all about the corporate tax rate and and capital gains but here's Heartland Institute data Ansley if she wants to undo the Trump tax cuts and this is all based on IRS data that means those making between 15,000 and 50,000 you'll see your taxes go up between 16 to 26% if you make between 50 to 100,000 it's going to go up 15 to 177% those are middle class families that will pay more oh great so we'll have to pay more and we can barely afford groceries and to fill up our gas tanks or pay our electric bills how can anyone afford this we're seeing mortgages go up with the high interest rates we're seeing uh rents go up my sister is a school teacher her rent went up $300 a month she can barely afford that family members are trying to help each other now when we go to these diners you interview people and they say oh well I'm still working I wanted to retire but my kids have low-paying jobs and they can't afford groceries so I'm giving them money now we do all these art we read all these articles about kids living at home after college now more so than ever but Trump he wants you you went through everything um no taxes on overtime soal Security checks tips um wants to lower our corporate tax that will keep companies here in America and that will provide jobs higher paying jobs it's now 21% he wants to lower it to 15 Kamala wants to increase it to 28% everything under her costs more we see that at the grocery store no no doubt about it and look KLA Harris appear appears to be a big fan of Goldman Sachs let's watch this what Goldman Sachs has said is that Donald Trump's plan would make the economy worst mine would strengthen the economy but the Goldman Sachs CEO may not be a big fan of her talking point watch so that report which was mentioned last night in the debate came from an independent analyst and it's it's interesting Scott I think a lot more has been made of this than should be what the report did is it looked at a handful of policy issues that have been put out by both sides and it tried to model their impact on GDP growth the reason I say a bigger deal has been made of It Is What It showed is the difference between the sets of policies that they put forward was about 2/10 of 1% I think our clients are trying to look at what's going on from a policy perspective and make judgments I think this blew up into something that's bigger than what it was intended to be so will she keep using the talking point Emily I'm sure she will I I love also that she mentioned Wharton and then president Trump was like yeah I went there so just someone who couldn't pass the bar on the first time as you know I always love to throw that in I'll say this I really appreciate your anecdotes so much because I know that we all have them my good family friend who was a Marine Corps officer and then went on to be an executive at a company worked a full career retired and then is driving an Uber because the whole point is Americans can't make ends mean and I point this out because the contrast of President Trump who is a business owner who understands what it's like to work in the private sector contrasted by vice president Harris who has never worked in the private sector we have paid her salary her whole professional career and she is telling us what it would look like to lift up small businesses the majority of small businesses closed under her watch in covid the majority of whom were owned by women and women of color and she's telling me she knows what's good for small businesses cuz we closed ours too under her watch and she says for example it's all about handouts right when she talks about lifting up others we're going to pay this we're going to give you this with our money when really what lifts us up is breaking regulations it's cutting taxes it's not taxing capital gains like she's doing and proposing right so when we hear this Americans know exactly the difference between those two candidates and all those business owners all those employees everyone else they're going to vote again policy not personality it's so important Cara well that's a good point because the people who really have skin in the game when it comes to the economy you know we can't afford gas groc service and rent that's a problem but look at the entrepreneurs look at the VCS look at Silicon Valley Elon Musk coming out in favor of trump you have David Sachs coming out in favor of trump you even have Mark Zuckerberg saying nice things about Trump too so to me it's the guys who outstand to lose so much in this economy know uh that Kamal Harris is really Vibes and brat just not enough right not enough voters will have a choice between Vibes and paychecks so we'll see what choice they make well senators from both sides of the aisle say they are appalled by the security failures that led to the assassination attempt on former president Trump we have now Justin Timberlake's attorney speaking live after he plad guilty for drunk driving let's take a listen on this matter and their door remained open for me and my legal team to discuss and to negotiate and to laser into the issues of this case my legal team my co-counsel David Smith EJ Burke my pargal Kelly fahe behind me my interns Brendan and Charlie who aren't here allowed me to walk into those doors of the District Attorney's office to be fully prepared and their diligence was immeasurable Within These last 90 days I would also like to thank the court for its mindful acceptance of this resolution and the clerks at the court Cindy and Michelle who I know very well and all their hard work again over these last 90 days I'd also like to thank the Sag Harbor Police Department who I know very well and they do a wonderful job and they Serve and Protect this wonderful Village of sag harbor you see guys this Village is truly unique and the case was also unique for me in the sense of Geographics as you probably know my office is right on Main Street right across the street from the court right next to the American Hotel and right next to the Sag Harbor Police Department it's such short short distances where this case emanated out of but coming out of this case I believe we'll have a messages that will travel long distances and extend far and wide the because it's that message coming from Justin himself as he'll approach here and address you all and tell you what's in his head and in his heart so I'd like to turn that over to Justin thank you Ed good morning everyone morning morning um so I don't uh I don't know how many of you uh were in the courtroom and heard uh what I had to say in the courtroom but uh uh I'll reiterate that and and say this to you um many of you have probably been covering me for a lot of my life and as you may know I I try to hold myself to a very high standard for myself and this was not not that this was not that um I found myself in a position where I could have made a different decision um but I've had some time to reflect on that and I also understand by you know the fact that all of you are here that I have a platform you have a platform we share that platform and so what I'd like to say to everyone watching and listening even if you've had one drink don't get behind the wheel of a car there's so many Alternatives um call a friend um take an Uber there's many travel apps still take a taxi um this is a mistake that I made but I'm hoping that whoever's watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake I know that I certainly have and like I said even one drink don't get behind the wheel of a car I also said this in the courtroom before but I uh I grew up in a small town so I I can I can appreciate and understand the strain or unique nature that this must have been on the people of Sag Harbor but I just want to say to everyone who's been involved um from everyone in the courtroom to everyone outside including the police department um that I'm very grateful and um I thank them and I guess in closing I'd like to say we can all be more more safe out there and I'm going to do my part I hope that everyone else does their part and thank you very much will you be working with all right so we have a couple questions that were shouted to Justus in Timberlake we heard a fan also call out I love you for more and more details we're going to Alexis McAdams who's been there on the ground covering this proceeding this morning Alexis hey Emily so as you just saw there on your screen Justin Timberlake walked right out of that courthouse in Sag Harbor uh he was there back in June as we all remember when this all went down and he was spotted driving this car that's his BMW according to investigators going right down that street in Sag Harbor he blew through a stop sign was later taken into custody spending the night in lock up there out in the Hamptons uh he was in that Sag Harbor Village Justice Courthouse today as he plad guilty okay that was a change back from June agreeing to a plea deal because he got a lesser charge of driving while his ability was impaired what does that mean well that's just a traffic violation with a fine of about $300 to $500 so this really changed here for Justin Timberlake you heard his lawyer talking about how he felt he really worked with the authorities to kind of come to this deal it comes three months though after investigators tell us the 43-year-old was driving while intoxicated uh he's a Grammy winning pop singer right he's an emmy-winning actor who says he made a bad decision and is trying to now use his platform to tell others not to do the same saying don't drink and drive it doesn't matter if you've had one drink um or half a drink don't get in the car that comes after police pulled him over when he left a bar at the American Hotel out in the Swanky Hamptons after a night out with some friends he was spotted weaving in and out of that lane there in that surveillance video that became key in the case investigators had originally said he left that bar where Witnesses told them he was wasted but in court just a short time ago our producer Jen Johnson saying uh the lawyer his lawyer saying that was not true he was not grabbing drinks off of the table or anything like that saying that he was just made a bad decision that night and is now trying to fix things but there were also people in the courtroom um who advocate for you know stopping drunk driving these are people who lost their family members their friends to these horrible incidents and so they sat there in that courtroom as this massive pop star took a police deal here a lot of times you know people don't get this as you know Emily from being a lawyer so he said it's his mistake and telling others not to do it those are the words from Justin Timberlake today and Sag Harbor we have to follow this very closely Alexis madams thank you so much all right Todd pyro here's my question to you was the statement that Justin Timberlake made we know it was part of that plea agreement it's my understanding based on CBS reporting that the judge was not happy with the initial plea agreement and asked to add on essentially a statement of Contrition a public service announcement to which as we saw Justin Timberlake clearly acquiesced was it enough was it meaningful was it accurate I'm GNA I'm going to steal a little of Ansley erhart's graciousness you're a very gracious person you're kind you give everybody else the benefit of the doubt I'm going to give Timberlake the benefit of the doubt here although to me just sitting here he didn't seem like he was wildly contrite uh but I'm willing to give him another chance however if he does this again and fails to get an Uber fails to do do this uh I'm going to say Cry Me a River I would say first of all I looked up his net worth and we know they're not usually accurate but it says he's worth $250 million like yes he's right he should have gotten an Uber thankfully he didn't kill anybody didn't kill himself there were no accidents so he's learned his lesson but definitely if you're going to go out there and drink um you have to have a ride sharing program or a friend or walk home you can't get behind the wheel so I was glad look everyone forgive him sorry he made mistake he's a father so I wish him all the best that's right all right guys more outnumbered in just a moment again what the L no to then what's other way what would you what good s what's up did the mov again got
