Hey there. Good Thursday morning to you. I'm Evan Iran. This is your CBS A plus extended forecast. A beautiful weekend ahead across San Diego County after what will be a mild day today and tomorrow temperatures trending cooler than average. You can partially thank this, the marine layer out there extending to the western slopes of the mountains, uh all the way along the coast and our inland valleys covered by overcast for the early morning stretch. By the time we get to mid morning, closer to 10:11 a.m. prior to the noon hour, we should start to see those clouds pull back completely. Could be waiting until closer to noon if you're west of the five. And that's where we'll really start to see those clouds break apart and kind of fracture and you probably will still see those clouds hanging out off the coastline because tonight into tomorrow, they'll make their resurgence. But uh part of the reason why we're enjoying those cooler temperatures is because of that cloud cover that there. So 10:11 a.m. those westerly winds start to pick up will be around 10 MPH at 2 p.m. Temperatures only making their way to the mid seventies, close to the coastline versus the eighties that we'll see inland an enjoyable day at the coast, you could say, but if you're looking for those warm 80 degree temperatures, you're going to have to wait till next week. Ridge of high pressure starts moving in our direction. It will not be all that, you know, all around us. By the time we get to the weekend, weekend temperatures are right around normal. And then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday of next week, Labor Day and beyond that, we see those temperatures climb more dramatically. So let's talk about this afternoon, in particular, widespread eighties inland, we thought we would have left the nineties behind but stubborn Ramona and Campo sticking with 90 degrees this afternoon. Good opportunity for them to make their way to the upper eighties for tomorrow afternoon. There could still be some cooling to watch for 83 for Escondido and Pawe. Miramar and LA have left the eighties and are going for 79 this afternoon, 78 up in Oceanside and 73 for Carlsbad and Del Mar. Now, here's the change on hand today, tomorrow, almost identical days ahead. We start to see that gradual warming. Remember, 78 is average for San Diego. So from Sunday into Monday, we'll start to transition from cooler than average to warmer than average. That climb continues Tuesday and Wednesday, we could be upwards of five degrees warmer than average inland. You'll notice it a bit more as we go from 82 tomorrow afternoon to 95 by Wednesday of next week, quite a climb. So we talk about it being a very gradual climb into the above and it is. But when you combine 23 degrees each day, you really start to notice what a change there is going to be. Labor Day itself should be just warmer than normal. We know a lot of people have this extended weekend off so enjoy it, have a great weekend and then expect to come back to San Diego. If you're making a trip out, uh, next week, we'll start to see those more summer like conditions really come about a dramatic shift. If you're leaving, say Friday through Monday, you'll leave on Friday to the low eighties. You'll come back on say Tuesday to the mid nineties. So, uh across the mountains and deserts, no different temperatures warming. We have some humidity on hand today through the weekend and then we'll start to watch for drier conditions. By the time we get to the beginning of next week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday time frame. Uh, this seven day forecast is on CBS eight.com/weather. Hope you all have a fantastic Thursday afternoon and remember you can watch us every weekday morning starting at 5 a.m. on CBS eight
