Many fans once joked that Giannis Antetokounmpo fell in love with an ordinary-looking woman. But the best love is that you never disliked me for being poor, and I didn't live up to your kindness. Giannis Antetokounmpo was born into a poor family. His family smuggled themselves from Nigeria to Greece and became refugees. If it weren't for basketball, he would have been an illegal immigrant in Greece. After playing in the NBA, Giannis gave all the money he earned to his family. But Mariah doesn't stand out in either of these areas, and he's two years older than Giannis. So what does Giannis love about her? Mariah is a top student at Rice University with a double major in sports management and sociology. At the age of 20, Mariah took the initiative to intern at the NBA Summer League to start her career plan. At that time, Giannis was just an international player who had just arrived in the NBA. Who would have thought that the 15th pick in the 2013 draft would one day become a superstar. The love between the two is particularly pure. In 2016, the Bucks gave Giannis a four-year, $100 million contract extension. This silly boy immediately ran to the store and bought an oversized teddy bear for Mariah. It wasn't a diamond ring, a sports car, or thinking about a new girlfriend. After Giannis signed the contract, all he could think about was Mariah's favorite teddy bear. From the skinny Greek boy to the Greek monster, Giannis' transformation is inseparable from hard training. He has a habit. If he does not perform well in a game that day, he will not even take a shower, but will immediately go to the basketball gym to practice more, often practicing until two or three in the morning. On many nights like this, Mariah was by Giannis' side. One night in 2022, the Bucks lost to the 76ers on the road. Giannis was very upset about his free throw performance in that game. He made 4 of 15 free throws and missed 11. So after the game, he stayed in the gym for extra practice. However, due to work needs, the 76ers staff moved the ladder near the hurdle to prevent him from practicing. After several pulls between the two sides, Giannis simply pushed the ladder aside. After the video hit the internet there was a public outcry, and coupled with a number of injuries to opposing players as a result of his strong defense, Giannis received a lot of flak from the public. Mariah, a former 76ers employee, supported Giannis on instagram. "ME and YOU against the world" She said. This couple always shows off their affection like this. Giannis is a strong man on the basketball court, but he also often posts photos and thoughtfully writes love words. Such loving words as "you make my life more wonderful, my princess, you are the most special existence" are all written by Giannis. In less than four years, Giannis and Mariah had three children, two sons and one daughter. But this is not enough. He once said that his goal is not to win 6 championships but to have 6 children with Mariah. Mariah is not a full-time housewife, she runs her own clothing brand. Together with Giannis, she gave away her clothes to needy families in Milwaukee for free. He also co-launched a diaper project with Giannis to provide local infants and young children with the daily necessities they need to grow. Seeing these poor children, Giannis will definitely not forget his difficult memories of being on the streets of Greece. In order to supplement his family income, he stood on the street selling sunglasses. Sometimes he had to sing for tourists on an empty stomach to earn tips. Good-looking women are all the same, but the woman who knows each other and is by your side is the most precious. Giannis wants a lover with whom he is compatible, not a vase. Giannis Antetokounmpo can be regarded as the real sober person in the NBA.
