[Music] first to actually be able to have audiences watch your stuff as a young filmmaker artist is the moment that kind of shifts your work to being insular to being um art it's a conversation and having a conversation in a country that isn't my home but has only ever shown me so much kindness since I was a kid and and has made art that's inspired a lot of uh why I want to make art in the first place it's um it's very very moving touching I think in all the art I want to want to make is is kind of demonstrating the complexity of being a human in America a human in the world um the beauty the the disappointments the um constant back and forth between hope and and and um and discouragement that we have to navigate and so America's a right place to to place those stories it's the place I know the best and so hopefully that's what I'm pulling off every once in a while and some of the stuff I do yeah [Music]
