which true freshman will see the field this Saturday when the Georgia Bulldogs take on dbos swiy and the Clemson Tigers that's a question that I've been asked several times now over the last couple of weeks as we inch closer and closer to what could be a special season for the Georgia Bulldogs now it's a question that I completely understand right Georgia just had the number one recruiting class in the country multiple five stars most of them on defense there's a lot of excitement around a lot of these players Kirby has spoke about several of them so far during fall Camp so I'm going to jump into it right we're going to dive into it uh kind of talk about each position group and see which true freshman could see the field against Clemson or which could see the field throughout the season so uh the first guy that comes to my mind and I'm sure you all have thought about this as well is Nate Frasier that's a guy I've been talking about for a long long time now uh they loved him at of high school he's the number two running back Prospect in the country in the 24 class size speed uh big play ability uh he's 200 plus pounds but he will run by you he will run through you he can make Defenders Miss he is a complete back who can catch out of the back field and with Trevor eten likely suspended that's what my guess is right now which it is it's just a guess and rogi Robinson out we're looking at a possible Branson Robinson Nate Frasier onew punch uh for the dogs this weekend and I know he's just a freshman but this kid is going to be an absolute dog um whether it's against Clemson or down the road and probably sooner than later he is going to be a fan favorite and maybe the next great Georgia running back and I have no problem saying that I think he might have the best freshman season that any running back has had probably since DeAndre Swift in 2017 I mean he has the ability to make that much of an impact he's physically gifted physically ready to play right now and again the size the speed the quickness the hands this kid has it all I definitely think we're going to see a lot of him maybe not a lot we know what yeah we we'll go for a lot we're going to see him throughout the game against Clemson that is my guess right now another guy I get asked about all the time right five star safety KJ Balin I got that Georgia flip from Florida State right before signing day I covered him throughout his career at Buford I know how good this kid is he is electric um he's tough he's physical but he can cover and he can he can hit and he can run he can do a lot for you and expect him to help on special teams before he makes an impact in the secondary but here's what Kirby Smart had to say about KJ Balden earlier this week he said he missed some time this fall uh that probably set him back some there was about a four or five day spell there in Camp where he didn't get to practice I guess he's been back for about eight or nine practices now and he's sharp he's very intelligent he's a very coachable kid he's a good athlete he hasn't played major college football he played Major level of high school football he's played at the highest level there but he's an intelligent kid I think he'll respond well and when his number is called on he'll be ready to play um again that the staff loves him uh he can do a lot for you I think he's going to be a multi-year starter but I did have one person who took in Georgia's second scrimmage who has won a national championship at Georgia tell me as talented as he is he's still learning he's still you know figuring out the Playbook learning what he has to do but the physical skills uh that the natural athleticism that's all there he's got everything you look for in a playmaking possibly allamerican safety but this particular person wasn't sure we'll see a ton of him against Clemson and the Tigers have some receivers and they're going to test Georgia down the field I think it's more of a Dan Jackson at safety with Malachi Starks maybe Janelle Aguero at safety uh you know several other guys there we may see glimpses of him right if georgees you know got a comfortable lead in the fourth quarter I do think we'll see KJ Balton out there um maybe in some up type of Duty or maybe a play here or there right um it's not ideal to have true freshman out there in the secondary but he is more than talented uh to make play after play when he gets that opportunity I'm not sure it's going to come against Clemson I think he'll play here and there I think we'll see a little bit of KJ Balin probably more on special teams than in the secondary but we'll see you know and I get the same question about Ellis Robinson the five-star cornerback long athletic top three uh I was going to say player Prospect in the country player prospect whatever this kid is Elite he's a multi-year starter in my mind um but I'm not sure he's ready to go out there and play a significant amount of time right now maybe I'm wrong and he plays more than I think but I just think he's got several guys ahead of him right now and I say right now because he is going to pass these guys on the depth chart eventually right now I think uh Julian Humphrey is outplaying uh Daniel Harris but I think Andre Evans has made some noise I think Justin Rett uh jakori Thomas those guys are looking to play and it might not be a cornerback but um could be a little safety here and there Ellis Robinson is a a possible SL future lock down cornerback who could be a top 10 pick in the NFL draft you can't teach length he's got it um he's fundamentally sound he knows how to cover he's got great ball skills maybe that's a you know he's a guy who can play on special teams on Saturday before making an appearance at quarterback but we'll see now the Georgia player that was a national champion that I spoke with for about an hour and a half on Tuesday he said another freshman that caught his eye was Joseph Jon aan Now this particular person doesn't really follow recruiting that well he just told me big 99 right that freshman big powerful kid um on the defensive line I said yeah that he's a borderline five star they got him out of Texas he's only been playing football for like three or four years I think his freshman year of high school was the first time he played organized traditional football right his best football is still way ahead of him but he's already kind of holding his own on the defensive line uh I think he's at 65 270 275 he might play On The Edge at first but he might move into an interior position uh the more he plays in Athens but he's a guy that is making a lot of noise at linebacker as much as I love Justin Williams Chris Cole two five-star linebackers that they just signed they've got guys ahead of them right small M's a starter um raen Wilson is pushing CJ Allen for playing time there Jaylen Walker can play inside linebacker Troy Bulls can play inside linebacker uh Terell Foster it was a walk-on I hope I said that correctly um he's a guy that I think the staff is more comfortable with even though he's a walk-on kid can play uh and as a guy that I I think they know can play so um there's you know that that's more of a deeper position than they were last year last year we saw CJ Allen raay Wilson both starting as true freshman s mondon was out but you get my point I don't think they're in a position when they need to throw Justin Williams or Chris Cole in there um at wide receiver sovi White Tule I've heard they're both coming along but I don't expect either one of them to play a significant part against Clemson I don't think anyone really on the offensive line is going to play in this game uh the quarterback Rigley is not going to play in this game Jaden Rell might see a a snap here or there I doubt it at tight end he's a playmaker he is a dog I think he was going to be George's possibly next great tight endend the guy can play he's going to see the field sooner than later it's going to be tough to keep that guy off the Ben bench but there's three tight ends ahead of him um again on the defensive line Joseph Jonah aan would be one Nair Johnson might be a guy we see in cleanup Duty on the defensive line but you know the guy that we're going to see the most of I expect is Nate Frasier and you know Kirby was asked what position group is easiest to play at your freshman he said running back I believe he said cornerback I'd have to go back and look but that was not a position I thought he would say um and I'd have to dig into to more of that I don't have the numbers or uh the the quotes in front of me but you can absolutely if you can play at running back and you could run and you're physically gifted and you can take a hit or two like Nate Frasier can you know speed is speed and it doesn't you don't have to have the Playbook Mastered on offense um to play now you do need to be able to pass protect a little bit um if you can't pass protect you're not going to play and I do think that you know the numbers are the numbers say that Nate Fraser is going to play just cuz I expect two of Georgia's you know best four running backs to be out um will he be in there on a third and long trying to take on Barrett Carter uh that would not be ideal but you know someone's got to do it uh so at the end of the day as talented as they are they brought in so many talented freshmen we're going to see a lot of them this year a lot of guys that I don't expect to play against Clemson I do think we'll play at some point this year I just think week one it's tough to throw a freshman out there I know Malachi Stark started at safety two years ago I know George pickings has started and guys have seen the field in some capacity in that first game Brock Bowers obviously was made a massive impact in his very first game against Clemson in 2021 but this is a deep team and uh because of injuries we might see a little more freshman than maybe I expected early on but we'll see some guys out there for sure um it might just be a handful of plays um but we will see some different numbers some different faces out there and over time I think the Georgia fans are going to love uh this freshman class that 2024 class could be something special especially on the defensive side of the ball I know the staff are very high on some of those defensive linemen they're obviously high on KJ Balden Dilo Jones Ellis Robinson and I have a been told multiple times that the two linebackers Justin Williams Chris Cole are going to be household names sooner than later so uh that's what I got for you uh not ton of freshman I'm expecting to see out there but I do expect to see some we'll see uh how much I'm right how much I'm wrong we'll dig into it which freshman do you want to see out there let me know in the comments section below hope you learned something thanks for watching I'll see you on the next video
