BONUS: Colin Fassnidge Addresses *That* Front Page Headline On The Daily Telegraph

[Music] you're listening to the Fitzy and whipper podcast front page of the Daily Telegraph today headline reality show made my Cafe a nightmare now we love faz's Kitchen Nightmares but there is a restaurant owner out at homebush her name is Virginia Chong and the cafe was called Cafe Devi and they were having a few problems this is where fazz goes out and he tries to sort things out few arguments going on with Virginia in there and the chef there was a few arguments on the show can you not raise your voice it's open kitchen like customers can hear I don't care it's embarrassing what's going on in there I gave him feedback didn't down too well did it no it didn't they could hear across the road yeah it happens all the time so okay now we need to talk this out can we get Faz on the show is Faz there Faz you got us morning boys a how are you big one mate I mean to start with the the article on the front page of the Daily Telegraph this morning basically goes in you've made the front page r on as uh you got someone who's not happy because the cafe in the restaurant it was a chinese-based cafe serving Chinese food you've apparently then said no no no no no wrong way forward no no no let's make it Lebanese it was a Chinese owned Cafe serving Italian and Middle Eastern bread oh just bread and it was a Chinese own Cafe serving dirty terrible unhygienic Middle Eastern bread and Italian food okay he was also losing they were they hadn't taken a wage in six months oh so the husband is a Toler and his wage was keeping the cafe going oh man this thing of they're losing all this money because we moved the coffee machine yeah just move the coffee machine back you hear the old you hear the old adage you can bring a the water can't make it drown now okay she also says as well though Faz okay cuz she was she had the Middle Eastern bread that she said that the producers said why don't you go Middle Eastern menu and you call the cafe cafe toy now she said that there's been a lot of Lebanese customers that have come in and said you're making a mockery of our culture did was that your idea to come up with Cafe to buy no it wasn't my idea but I'll tell you right if you look on the evening yeah um when the Lebanese table was in and had the drinks that's my trainer Adam mine oh that's right Adam and big Moy who listens to our show you got know you know who are all Lebanese who love to joint and uh you know so look the way the restaurant look like the way the W Restaurant world is at the minute like you can come in you can do a paint job you can do um the new menu but not everyone's going to survive that's that's the brutality of the industry in yes Faz do you think I mean if they special were they doing any Asian food they were doing a little bit of it was like Around the World in 80 dishes it's like Expo was Expo was it and that was made can you imagine if you doing 80 dishes how much food is sitting in that fridge and how much food is g off that a big problem yeah right yeah trying to do too much go in and say Colin he changed the name to bully but if you looked at the containers we were open up the food was rotten oh noce what did they do well though a lot of the people who were eating there were older and that that's very scary yes F what did they do well like was there a signature dish or something that people kept coming back to the cafe for or uh they did they did um sweets and a c quite well cuz they bought him in a okay so okay so ins saying that Las Virginia yes was a beautiful lady right yes she was just she was backed into a hole where her relative left her the cafe she hadn't been paid in months and I I I feel for Virginia and Le her husband was such a lovely guy yes and I really felt for him because he was paying he was toiling during the day and paying the wages at night time that's so so fa we can we can fix this I mean you when you pick up the front page of the paper you go oh my God this is a but this can be fixed if they bring the coffee machine to the front of the cafe and they change it from Cafe to buly to something local I mean this can be fixed quite easily well like what happens is Kitchen night M comes in they go here here's what we're thinking to doing uh right we're going to do the name you can change that name or we're going to move everything because we're going to paint your walls we're going to clean your kitchen we're going to move the coffee machine you could move the coffee machine back like it's pretty that's the problem with half the joints is it's business one I W you've got to be reactive yeah yeah I mean I would have called It Rock on Lebanon or something like that I don't think it deserves paper as well I mean if Virginia's listening right now what did what would you like to say to her mate I I I I I feel I feel sad that it's it's Virginia has to she was closing anyway yeah you know it's not the outcome we want um and I really I like Virginia and it's a shame that it's you know but in saying that uh K nightmares is on a half seven tonight let's hope the oysters are fresh F let's hope the oysters are fresh I'm looking forward to the cafe LEP tonight the Irish the ca Tonight Tonight Show was a very sad one and it's a real eye opener or what's going on in Sydney restaurants the chef's amazing he's the cleanest guy ever yeah highest respectful wa you see what happens tonight oh my God what sort of restaurant is it Faz like what Cuisine oh it's a pub restaurant very heart but you know it's a very sad story Cafe schnitzel hey we missed you on the pub tour last week as well where were you unfortunately I was in uh New Zealand with my French friend launching H mkr New Zealand oh big one that's right you were telling us
