Hockey fans are furious at Calgary...

well I'll put it simply an ugly situation continues to get uglier earlier this week I made a video about the allegations against Five hockey players for in the NHL one overseas and today it's been confirmed that Michael McLoud Cal foot Dylan dubet Carter Hart and Alex foron have all been charged in relation to an alleged sexual assault which took place in London in 2018 I'm not going to talk about the merits of the case or give any background you can watch the prior video for that I just want to talk about some of the I guess followed and there's a lot to go around but much of it has landed on the Calgary Flames so Dylan dubet preemptively I guess stepped away from the team and he cited mental health reasons a message that was passed on by the Calgary Flames now it's a bit of a tough look for them to give the mental health excuse when in reality we know that he was preparing to turn himself into police a lot of fans came out they were unhappy I get that Calgary responded saying they didn't know why when he stepped away they took his word for it other than that the NHL Hawk Canada the individual teams they've all been quiet the only statements we've gotten have been from the players themselves with I believe four of their agents putting out essentially the same message hey we'll have our day in court let's leave it until then one thing that adds an extra wrinkle to this case is the slow moving nature of the Criminal Justice System Rick West had in an interview today pointed out that it could be 2026 by the time the cases are heard in court what do the players do what do the teams do I don't know and I'm glad that I'm not the one who has to figure that out overall though my thoughts of course are with the complainant and I've put a link as in the last video to a charity rain specifically there are also resources on that site if you need them as well including a live chat and lots of other great things anyway that's all I've got
