we are back with Elizabeth Bank she's a three-time Emmy nominee star in movies like The Hunger Games and Pitch Perfect now returning to host season six of the game show Press Your Luck welcome back great to see you thank you so good to be here we want to talk about Press Your Luck but first tell us about the Olympics you went I did I just came back from the Olympics last night I got to see the opening ceremony um some swimming got to see the 4X 100 men's relay where we won Gold um I got to see um Hughes and Chang play beach volleyball which was was a total party amazing awesome um yeah so it's the city was gorgeous it was incredible it sounds fantastic tell us about season 6 season 6 I can't believe we're back from more Press Your Luck we are having so much fun making this show I think embracing our contestants in the way we do we you know makes the show just really special it's unlike any other game show and that the contestant sort of becomes like the star of each episode we do an incredible job personalizing prizes for people it's my favorite thing about the show is getting to know someone um hear about their story we had a guy who had been in a car accident two weeks earlier he'd been sitting at a red light got rear ended his car was total you know he shows up on the show and he wins a new car right like that's the kind of that's the kind of you know setup payoff that we get to do all the time and um I just love being there for my contestants it's so fun and it's no wonder that it's the sixth season that tells you all you need to know it's yeah and and I have a horrible co-star in the whammy let's folks let's show folks okay this is what you [Applause] mean I'm dead what everyone wants to know oh my God 50 of what has Dylan just won 50 what $50,000 can you see how we're acting here it's so exciting I know you said the whammy is your most annoying co-star ever what would you whammy in your life I would whammy what would I whammy in my life I would whammy um having to pick dinner every night that's such a mom thing to say you know having to figure out what to eat every day I would whammy that like I really wish I and I suppose I could set this up in my life but I really wish somebody else just pick nutritious delicious food instead of me having to be like what are we doing we just order eat it by yeah and make everyone actually eat it I would whammy that decision like get it out of my life every day we have to figure out what to eat okay you are also in a new thriller called Skin Care yes it's uh coming out August 16th skin care incredible uh film uh sort of ripped from the headlines uh based in the world of an esthetician in La um things go crazy she's sort of up against it i' I really related to it because this character is someone who um she's very old school uh in a very new world the the film takes place right as like Instagram and online shopping is really the way that everything's happening and she's just like little you know open to Shop 25 years ago and really gets taken advantage of by young people who are like you need to be on Instagram and you need to do it this way and sort of doxs her and mess with her and she loses her mind while she tries to stay relevant and things go crazy things go we cover those stories all the time here on GMA of things going crazy in real life Call segment six exactly and you had a really scary experience yourself while filming I did personally I had a scary experience so I had a my first ever choking in incident I was choking on a pee that's right a little green pee that I was eating for lunch I was alone in my trailer um I threw the door open couldn't make any noise was so afraid oh my gosh um it was terrifying and um happened to see someone who said are you choking and I gave him the sign you know and I was like yes and he came over very calmly I like backed right into him and he gave me the him lick maneuver not I had he had to do it twice it came loose his name is Julius he is my guardian angel Julius I love you um saved my life literally on the set and so it's really um after that happened to me I've just used every opportunity like this one to tell people to learn the he man make sure you know how to do it talk to your friends and family about it it there's tons of videos about how to do it it's really easy don't worry about a lot of people think I'm going to crack a rib or I'm going to hurt someone they're dying yeah so crack their rib if you have to I would have been fine with a cracked rib I literally couldn't breathe and it was super scary so yeah learn the high make maneuver anyway that's why and go see SK and also pick and watch pressure left there you go thank you for coming in skincare at ceders August Press Your Luck will'll return with the original episodes on Thursday August 8th at 8 Eastern of course that's here on ABC
