Talkin' Cricket Bats episode 1 with Sherfane Rutherford at Bat and Ball Indoor

for us I have four Bots as you can see I have four Bots um I would say I have three mat's bots so this is my number one all right guys I'm here at bat ball indoor sports with my main man chaane Rutherford a very regular customer here so we wanted to go over his bats um but before we go over his bats I want to talk to you a little bit about what's going on in your career right now you're doing big things you're playing in a lot of places you're playing internationally you got a lot of stuff coming up what do you have coming up right now so um I have a series against South Africa starting on the 23rd of this month then on the 29th I have CPL then after CPL I have a Sri Lanka series that that's in October so um then I have England series then I have Bangladesh Series so you know it's a busy schedule but you know it's my job and you know I'm enjoying doing what I love and yeah I just want to keep you know doing it as long as I can and you know keep making you know my family proud so how was your experience at the World Cup you had a big game against New Zealand right and playing in a home field advantage how was that whole experience for you oh well you know for us you know it was a dream for me of playing World Cup and I think you know scoring World Cup 50 is something special for me um you know you know it comes a lot of hardart work um you know I was about to say that you know I didn't see it coming but you know with hardart work there's there's no limits and you know I've been you know challenging myself and I think you know it's been showing on on war stage M yeah yeah definitely how was your experience with um Major League cricket as compared to other t20s around the world the town has gotten a lot better every year they're getting more and more players so what is your experience with Major League cricket compared to the other tournaments that you play in T20 um I I think major league is not far from any League I play um it's very competitive and if you see the names that go to Major League the Russell the PO the Rashid KH the Steve Smith the Travis said you know you don't really get these players in any tournaments and you know from you know these guys could be participating you know it's a massive tournament and you know very tough standard you know he's always competitive and you know he good to be in those type of field you know to challenge yourself you know you know we work hard for you know play on the big stage and you know even with the challenge that they come with you know you know I'm just trying to embrace it so you see Cricket coming further and further every year the way it's going in yeah yeah I think definitely um you know I'm very excited about the future of mlc you know there's a lot of potential and you know there's no doubt that it's going to be you know one of the finest League you know my first year was very good and you know I saw a lot of talents and know there's no doubt that you know it's going to be so do you see like the USA guys coming up and getting better and better every time you play or around them yeah well I saw a few um I saw this guy Trump there's this is Twins and then um know there's this guy Sanji that you know was in our team you know and there's a few more you know other like local guys who you know go to the US and start the cricket Journey there's guy Asen K so you know there's Bri fure for America um bright fure for Cricket and you know as I said I'm very excited they're really holding their own in the field when they're playing with you guys yeah yeah um the maturity you know is there so you know as I said The more Cricket they play is going to definitely boost them yeah definitely the more play cricket they play with the international guys I think that's what's going to make it better cuz you know in American soccer they play all around the world which gives them experience at higher levels so the more tournaments that they play I think they'll they'll they'll definitely keep growing and growing so the game the game in USA is is definitely promising defin all right Shan so we got your bats here you got the SS bats tell us a little bit about them uh so well for us I have four bats as you can see I have four Bots um I would say I have three mats bats so this is my number one um so basically I go for something light um my bat Nami 27 28 something light because you know I use my hands so I try to get something light where I can actually flow um but yeah um nothing too heavy just light um I you show us the shape a little bit I get a little closer yeah that's my shape hold the side yeah okay so do you have different shapes on each bat or so um yeah I have different shapes so this is my number one this is my number two it's a bit lighter this like 27 so this one is a bit lighter but so this is you said this is Nicholas puran's B right there yeah so this is nicolan puran my number two you see it says Nicholas puran there the shape is a little more duck bill on this one yeah this is such a good one um this is my number three this is a SG um I got this from Gotham gambir um it's a gift so um yeah I'm going to use it soon um even know it's an SG it was a special gift and you know it's my favorite bat I cherish it but as I said you know it's my number three and you know hopefully I can use it soon to get some runs okay and do you feel like the profile changes the balance of the bat like that duck bill compared to the more full profile ones um it do a bit but um you know as a cricketer or as a athlete you know you get different shapes but and for me I try to adjust as fast as possible so um once it feels good I can use it the shape can be different but once it feels good for me I I would definitely use it okay and your last bet you got well this one um I got this from Sena R um this was my workup bat where I score my um Forest workup 50 but I'm giving it a little break um I'm just trying to give it some rest and hopefully I can get you don't want to use it all the time cuz you got the 50 in it a little more duck bill the shape is a little more duck it's some more ticker so yeah trying to you think you're going to save that bat maybe keep it in the in the office as your first International 50 t2050 definitely yeah you don't want that one to break no definitely I'm going to cherish this one so you're do you have a sponsorship with SS obviously how's that going they're treating you well everything's going good their bats are good well I must say I'm very fortunate and lucky to have SS um it's the best company um the best BS the best off Goods so you know for me I'm feeling feel honored to you know be a part of such a big company a massive company and you know every bad is said has been good and you
