with Star Wars Outlaws just a few days away from release and the Early Access being even closer I wanted to bring you guys five basic tips that I have learned from the game so far that will help you on your own Star Wars Outlaws open world Journey now the reason I say basic tips for this video is that I'm only allowed to currently talk about what I experienced getting Hands-On with the game in Sydney last week however I am currently testing and renewing the full game from home which I will talk more about after the full release so if there are any questions about the game that you want answered please leave them in the comments down below now I will ask you guys quickly if you aren't already subscribed to the Channel please make sure to do so right now as the next two weeks are jam-packed with Star Wars Outlaws content including a full game review a much more extensive tips and tricks video and much much more so make sure you guys are subscribed so you don't miss any of those anyways getting into the first tip for you guys it is a feature that you can use with NYX now NYX is super helpful in Star Wars Outlaws and he can do a hundred different things for you throughout your gaml but I feel like this tip is one that we haven't seen discussed too much throughout the trailers we've gotten so far so now that you're wondering what the feature is let me tell you NYX has a pulse ability that can be used at pretty much any time throughout the game that will scan the immediate area when the area is scanned it will pick up things like enemies things for ncks to interact with treasures and L loot that can be uncovered as well as hidden doors or passageways that you might not have seen yourself if I can give a few examples of what this kind of feel like it's very similar to like the scan mechanic in Stellar blade from earlier in the year or ravello in Hogwarts Legacy something very similar to those kind of abilities now during my Hands-On time with the game in Sydney I found myself using this constantly once I figured it out and not only did it help me find my way through missions it also led me to some really cool collectibles that I probably would have missed otherwise so that is tip number one for this video for tip number two we're actually heading into the settings menu where if you are like me and you want your gameplay to flow as smoothly as possible you're going to want to turn this setting off yes that's right I said turn this setting off because in Star Wars Outlaws there are Min games for things like lockpicking and slicing Terminals and if you're like me you can never seem to get the timing right for this kind of thing so thanks to the devs in charge of Star Wars Outlaws you can pretty much just head straight into the settings flick off the options for lock picking and slicing and basically once that's turned off in the menu from there on out it doesn't matter what timing you press for the lock picking it will automatically open the door and you can also bypass the little icon selection mini game for slicing as well this is super helpful and really something that I honestly appreciate I get so frustrated when I can't figure out a little puzzle like this for something so meaningless as like opening a door so it's really that you can actually just fully bypass this and not have to worry about it now tip number three is to keep an eye out for small yellow arrow icons around the map sometimes when a tricky segment of traversal is coming up or you may feel like you are stuck and not know where to go these signs will give you a guide on the path that you need to actually head in now this sounds super obvious but these signs are fairly small and pretty well blended into the world in most cases but in saying that following these arrows are crucial to progress through through the story as well as finding some less accessible Treasures around the map when I played the game a few weeks ago it was actually one of the first things that I did when I got to Mirana I followed this path I didn't even realize it was a path and then I jumped up on this ledge and I saw like a yellow arrow pointing to something I realized that after seeing this there was an area that I could go to that led to a treasure for nycks so it's one of those things where it's not always related to the story but it's definitely going to lead you to something that you want to find you will also notice that yellow markers don't just come in the form of arrows but they will be on Ledges you can jump to as well as climbable objects as well so make sure you're keeping an eye out for these while you play the game because there are a few tricky segments throughout all of the traversal sections that you may not know where to go and then all of a sudden you'll see a small little yellow handle that you can jump to from your current position so make sure you've got your eyes peeled for anything yellow basically throughout your time playing the game for tip number four we're going back to NYX again but this time it is for one of the stealth mechanics now Star Wars Outlaws features a big portion of stealth playing as an outlaw you need to be able to sneak around undetected but as we know from previous experience that doesn't always go to plan the stealth system has kind of two different types throughout your game play stealth sections where you can use your blaster if you need to and other sections where if you fire off your blaster you'll basically be caught immediately and be forced to start the mission over so getting back to Nix and how he kind of applies in this situation he has a handy feature to help you avoid detection if you're sneaking around a Syndicate stronghold for example when you shouldn't be and somebody thinks they see you it's going to Peak their suspicion leading them to come in for a closer look without NYX you will have a hard time avoiding this detection unless you want to backtrack a large part of the map and wait until the suspicion goes away which to be honest it can take a little bit of time for that to happen so rather than doing this you can actually send Nicks out to distract The Syndicate members allowing you to pass by while they're staring at nix usually telling him to go away or trying to figure out a way to get rid of him now while I say this I want to give you guys the heads up because NYX actually has a few commands he can do to help out when it comes to an enemy he can steal from them attack them or distract them and to make sure you don't accidentally send him to attack them what you want to be doing is when you send Nick out you're going to hold the L1 button or the LB button to bring up the sub menu of what you want NY to do and proceed from there because if you just click the button NYX May perform the attack command when really you wanted him to distract which is going to raise more suspicion and ultimately end up with you being caught I think honestly this is a really cool feature and some of the stealth sections are quite hard in this game so I'm glad that I had Nick by my side to help out and I'm sure you guys are going to feel the exact same way you'll notice once you get into some of these stealth areas that you need to be as unnoticeable as possible and if you do get spotted then NYX is ultimately going to be your savior now last but not least are the experts experts are essentially how you will upgrade K throughout the course of the game upgrading everything from her skills with a blaster to abilities on the Speeder bike and stealth upgrades now while playing you will meet an expert and they will have a set of abilities that they can teach you rather than earning skill points and unlocking abilities the traditional way like on a skill tree Star Wars Outlaws encourages you to use all of the features the game has to offer to unlock even more skills for example to unlock maybe a better Blaster ability you'll have to defeat 10 enemies with hitfire and take out five enemies that are distracted by ncks I honestly really like this change because it gives us some variety on a progression system other than just the typical skill tree that we would see in most single player adventure games and from what I can tell tell these experts actually have some really cool Missions at tied to actually learning the ability in the first place or just being associated with them and then once you're associated with them you can unlock all of these extra skills by doing things like I mentioned before now the thing with these five skills as they are pretty basic again I can't talk about the full game until next week but trust me when I say I will have a ton of tips and tricks for you guys once the game has launched so be sure to keep checking in for those videos but with that said that is going to do it for today leave a like on the video if you're excited for Star Wars Outlaws and if you want to watch more content on the game then there are some videos for you on screen now feel free to check those out I will see you guys in the next video and May the force be with you always
