track house has made its call for 2025 their driver lineup is finally set and it's going to be a three car team of course got Ross Chastain he's the guy who's been the best performing track house driver Daniel Suarez recently signed a one-year extension and now Shane Van gisbergen will come up and be a rookie the year candidate in 2025 with SVG going to cup it's going to be I'm my opinion a playoff caliber team in year 1 yeah I get that he hasn't exactly set the world on fire outside a road courses in exfinity but that's just it at his worst he'll be a top 10 road course driver at his best he's going to be dominating and going for the win and he will definitely be a favorite at Chicago next year even if it rains probably especially if it rains and I think that with more time in these cars and Improvement he'll be able to be faster at all of them so with that just alone he'll be a playoff threat and if there's a road course that's in the first round in the coming years watch out and with that too he'll be racing in cup more to end this year he's racing T night of course and that's one of seven races he'll be in in the last 12 including tonight the southern 500 at Darlington Atlanta The Glenn Talladega Las Vegas and Martinsville to end his cup season and to be fair I look at all of these tracks and I think all of them are chosen for a reason to start with Daytona Atlanta and Talladega even if the road courses don't work out anybody can win a Super Speedway race SVG included and he is going to need all the experience in the draft he can get before the Daytona 500 seeing how speed weeks has been so diminished then you look at the southern 500 at Darlington that's one of the most grueling races that's one of the most difficult race tracks and that's also a track where teammate Ross Chastain runs well you're going to need to know how to go against the best of the best at one of the most difficult tracks and having a teammate good at this track can help the learning curve a little bit as well Watkins Glenn that's just a given of course he's going to race The Glenn he'll probably be a threat to win in this race and I'm predicting if nothing gets in his way or any Calamity happens to him he'll have a top five finish Las Vegas mile and a halfs you need to be good at mile and a halfs in intermediate tracks to be good in the Nascar Cup Series even if there's not as many of those races there used to be and Martinsville a short track that as well is going to be something he's going to need to be good at as NASCAR still has a good amount of short tracks that make up the schedule so to me he's shown Improvement this year as the years went on in exfinity and I think he can do the same thing in cup in Xfinity he's been popping up more in the top 10 and top five at ovals sometimes it's strategy sometimes it's speed but either way he's up there racing and that Improvement is something he's going to have a much more difficult time doing in cup so these early races this year and last year are ones that he is going to need in his Arsenal so he doesn't just I don't know pull a Danica Patrick I don't think he ever would but you never know and when you look at track house as a whole Ross and Suarez they're a valid base continuity is key on this one and I think that in all honesty these guys will be really good in helping svg's development through the year as well now they did announce that zanen Smith has been let go from his deal with track house this was one that I think was kind of getting written on the wall before it was announced zanen Smith has struggled this year and while doing better in recent weeks he still is the odd Man Out Racing for an entirely different team and it's already been rumored that he is one of the guys who could go to the front row seat that's open and he's been at front row before and that might actually be a really smart move on both their parts as they can put back together a good relationship as well as well open up room for track house and with that track house getting a third Charter that in and of itself is going to be really big for them they're going to need that space over time there's not enough room at the end for zann Smith unfortunately as cool as it would have been to see him in this equipment after 2025 though that's where things I think get incredibly incredibly interesting Daniel Suarez's days in my opinion in the 99 are numbered if it is especially a three car Charter deal like what was talked about earlier in the summer if there's only three cars allowed I don't see them ever getting rid of Ross Chastain he's a viral machine he's great with sponsors he's an amazing story and a talented driver SVG they put way too much of investment in him to let him go there's no reason to let him go whereas Suarez has generally underperformed based off of what his teammate has done and while SVG might not be better than him next year or even the year after in total I don't see a reason to keep Suarez who has never shown that he can get above a 15th Place driver no matter what the equipment is the 99 is probably going to be held over time for Connor zillich they put a lot of money and effort into Connor zelich's career and it seems like they are moving him through the ranks partnering up with different teams as well I don't see why they would keep Suarez over him or let him for whatever reason go to another Chevy team the future is still very very bright for this team track house is one of the best teams in NASCAR right now and they're short time in this series they've kind of had this meteoric rise that has been stunted a little bit in 2024 Suarez is Suarez but Ross Chastain has taken a step back in performance when it comes to finishes he's still fast out there he just keeps hemorrhaging points almost every time there's an overtime and I think that this is a speed bump more than a trend that's being set for the future the other interesting part of SVG going to cup is the number they announced initially many of us thought it was going to be 97 but in fact the 88 is coming back to the Nascar Cup Series this time of course with SVG and I find it really really interesting that this is the number they chose but I understand it you got to think about this too the 88 with Dale arnhart Jr and Dale Jarrett for instance was very very popular and it's one of the most historic numbers even back to DW and others in NASCAR history NASCAR feels right having the 88 car back up there and you know what in the future I wouldn't be surprised if there are connections between JRM and track house after all JRM is bringing back the 88 next year which is a really interesting fold in all this with Conor zillich so I would say that for anyone who might be a little upset or wish that Junior were coming up to cup maybe this is the way in Partnership that it happens after all Tai Norris is over there but a really interesting fold in all of this and I got to say even though it won't change anything with the racing I'm pretty excited about this so with that I want to pass it on to you how do you think SVG will perform in cup in 2025 2026 and Beyond let me know down in the comments below while you're at it leave a like on this video share this video And subscribe to this channel for more great and fun NASCAR
