Illinois celebrate after upset over Kansas

historic night at Memorial Stadium last night as Illinois started 2-0 for the first time in Five Seasons after knocking off number 19 Kansas the Ali ey pulled off the upset in the fourth quarter thanks to a Caden Fagen touchdown to put them up 20 to 17 and for the second straight game the defense forced four turnovers and on the offense Luke almeer had another impressive performance going 16 for 25 for 193 yards and getting revenge on The Jayhawks after last year's game in front of a soldout crowd the players say this is something they'll remember for a long time um you know I was kind of looking around and you know my little brother came up to me and just gave me the biggest hug and my friends you know followed up and my older brother was here too so they picked me right up and that was just been a special moment you know something that you know well I'll remember more than you know the plays that were made out there honestly it was just really cool I felt like I was going to pass out in that crowd but you know I kept my composure you know and just took pictures with all guys I appreciate all lot of my fans coming out there and supportting um it's awesome cuz we know that we got all them people in the crowd still watching us even when we go on the road and then we also got to understand that it's going to be just us versus all of their crowd so you know what I'm saying so uh just just control what we can control really Illinois looks to start 3 and0 when they host Central Michigan on Saturday for homecoming kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 in the morning
