Is Chicago Bears Wide Receiver DJ Moore a Top 10 Receiver in the NFL? I Bleck & Abdalla

we talked a lot on the radio station a couple of weeks ago about the NFL top 100 put out by the NFL Network the top of the list for the ANL network was questionable uh any list that doesn't start off with Patrick Mahomes as the number one player in football uh is a incorrect list yeah uh and that's like the end of the conversation now I was pointing out to the twitch chat uh to me that yes there was one bear featured on their top 100 it was Keenan Allen but Jaylen Johnson was snubbed and then there was the conversation where Jaylen Johnson was asked about it by the media that clip was also featured here on the radio station and then that clip was featured on Hard Knock so there was a lot of talk about other Chicago Bears that should be within the top 100 so we pushed the NFL network list to the side because ESPN has their rankings their top 100 heading into this football season and there are three bears on the list on the top 100 yes there are three bears and it should be pointed out that this is not like this isn't another player ranking like the NFL Network one was players voted on those so like Jaylen was dissed by the players correct even though I don't think he really understood that when they talking I love it that's fine cuz that dude's been having a great camp and everyone's raving about him so I can't wait to see him when the season starts yeah I hope he's great again uh so let's see two bears right back to back number 89 and 88 you've got Montes swat at 89 and Jaylen Johnson at 88 so there you go Jaylen you're number 88 yeah it's fair I I think the push back is that he should be included in the top 100 players where he is in the top 100 I think it's okay to say that he's anywhere from 100 to 50 I don't think many people would make a case that Jaylen Johnson's a top 50 player at this moment yeah maybe he can rise to that at some point throughout this season I think he's on the short list of best corners in the game though oh easily he's on the short list with like three or four other guys I'm guessing yeah he's easily a top 10 corner like easily in Mont sweat getting traded to the Bears has certainly raised his profile good football player with the commanders before but I think the attention that this team has uh garnered especially this off season but at the end of last year people they were getting notice even though they were a sub 500 team battling into to get into the playoffs yeah when the Bears play well they get noticed and I think a defensive Edge like montz sweat will absolutely get noticed because of what this Bears defense has been throughout their history he led two teams in sacks in the same season in the same season yeah he led the commanders and the bears in sacks in in the same season which pretty awesome yeah it's pretty good and then the other bear there's three bears on this list we have to go all the way up to number 42 so I think this is pretty good DJ Moore comes in at number 42 yeah that's great uh so last year on the ESPN rank DJ Moore was 99 okay so he's jumped to 42 yeah stud wide receiver almost in the same situation as Jaylen Johnson I don't think anyone would list DJ Moore as the number one wide receiver in the game no but I think he's on the short list with like six or seven different guys there's probably like a top 10 and DJ Moore could fall anywhere from 10 to maybe seven yeah or then could see someone saying ah he's like the 13th be best wide receiver but he's really good 42 on the list from ESPN I was going when we were going through all the lists of List season you know at the beginning of the summer counting down the days to the NFL and you get here's this ranking of best wide receivers and here's this ranking of best wide receivers and now Pro Football Focus has theirs and then we would go through all the deals right this wide receiver just got a new deal this wide receiver just got a new deal and I kept saying you know to you and to Carmen and yerko here during the lunch rush or whatever that DJ Moore was a top five wide receiver last year in multiple categories with what we think now is not a very good quarterback so imagine what he's going to do this year should the Bears get ahead like it was a question multiple times should the Bears get ahead of this and sign DJ Moore now as opposed to waiting for two years or the end of next year when he's going to want the same money as X wide receiver who's now the the more money and hearing Adam shefer on earlier today the lion the the Lions the Cowboys in CD lamb are like a million dollars apart and can't get their crap together for one of the best wide receivers in the game and they're just like nah you're not worth an extra million dollars not a million dollars a game just1 million1 million and they're like no you're not worth 34 million we think you're only worth 33 million that's ridiculous so the Bears did the right thing and went to DJ Moore and said hey we want you around here long term you want to be here with Caleb long term let's figure something out and they rewarded who last year I'm not saying he is a top five wide receiver but last year in yards touchdowns he was one of the best wide receivers in the NFL last year yeah I'm with you on that just scrolling through the list I didn't look it up before we started talking about this but DJ Moore at 42 is their 10th best wide receiver there you go so right around that that group that we were suggesting if we go all the way to the top of the list now ESPN gets it right the number one player in the game is Patrick Mahomes there's no arguing that uh he's going to be fantastic for a very long time he's already won the Super Bowls passing yards are there he's clutch in big moments big spots he does everything well there there's no debate he's the best player in football that's where it gets interesting is number two Lamar Jackson is listed at number two Justin Jefferson at number three the Vikings wide receiver number four miles Garrett The Edge rusher for the Browns and number five Josh Allen quarterback for the bills I think ESPN's list of top five is much better than what the players ranked as their top five in their list that came out on the NFL Network I think this like like I I would I'm skeptical about number two but I think the rest of the top five are all names that should be in the top five yeah I'm fine with it let's let's move to the side Lamar Jackson is not the second best quarterback in football no ST is bur or Josh Allen I would say I would put Joe burrow ahead of Josh Allen yeah I'm I'm with you Joe bur and Josh Allen to me are two and three I'm fine with having Lamar Jackson number two if that's what ESPN wants to do I'm not going to argue that's fine Joe burough has shown when he's healthy he's the second best quarterback in the league the problem is can't stay healthy so he's got to prove that he can stay healthy I would put him ahead of Josh Allen at number five I would put him at number five maybe move Josh Allen to number six and then you move everyone down so at six right now is Jamar Chase who is Josh you know Joe Burrow's wide receiver so I think Joe burough is a better quarterback than Josh Allen Josh Allen is proven he can stay healthier though so I can't really like that's not a snub to Josh Allen I'm not saying that they're miles apart I'm just saying that when healthy Joe Burrow's better than Josh Allen the problem is Josh Allen can stay healthier so I have no I I'm not arguing with the list but Joe is better like he's better of course he is he's better so is Josh Allen and looking at the list you say okay so you got momes Jackson burrow and Allen uh and Joe burrow is listed as 13 on the list so Josh Allen Jackson Mahomes are all in the top five Bros 13 the next quarterback is number 15 that's CJ strout really I don't know about that so he's coming in as the fifth best quarterback in football I don't know if he's the fifth best quarterback and I know he is definitely he's definitely not the 15th best player Nick Bosa is better than he is so is s Gardner s Gardner is better than he is Fred Warner linebacker for the 49ers he's at 18 Aiden Hutchinson 19 for the Lions maybe maybe patan number 20 for the Broncos he's definitely I mean listen Travis Kelce who's he paying to get these high this high on these list 20 third Travis Kelce the problem is too I the next quarterback is Dak Prescott at 27 Dak Prescott's not the I don't think he's the sixth best quarterback in the NFL oh but last year he had the six he he should have been MVP last year okay but are we just going off last year I don't I don't qualify this as a hot take everyone wants a hot take I think Dak Prescott's a better quarterback than CJ St that's fair that's fair they shouldn't be separated by 12 spots on the list no I think they're both top 10 quarterback yeah yeah they're both top 10 but I would rank Dak higher than D has done it longer yes that's the thing is Dak been around long enough for people to sour on him CJ CJ's the the next it thing so let's see how it goes in the second year CJ's fine I want to see it one more year before I anoint him the fifth best quarterback in the league and a top 15 player in the NFL I want to see it one more year then fine then fine if you do it again next if you do again this year you go farther in the playoffs cool warranted but I want to see it first so Bears fans you get three players in the ESPN's ranking list top 100 DJ Moore 42 and then at 89 and 88 you have Montes sweat and Jaylen Johnson
