JASON DAY'S NEW IRONS! 2024 TAYLORMADE P770'S

what's up guys have I got a beauty for you today this one is the much anticipated brand new p770 this is going to be an absolute killer the current p770 already is played on tour this bad boy is definitely going to step into the line up by some players and for good reason it is a proper looker it's got the players forged construction going on throughout the set a new redefined look more compact the Top Line looks good Jason day is currently using a full set of the P 770s we heard him talk about this in his interview the other day talking about the reasons behind it for the Apex for the speed for how forgiving they are now with this new p770 I'll let you in that I have been testing this quite seriously I've played it twice on the golf course and I'm in a place where I'm seriously considering this could be in my future it is a little bigger than the p7 CB but once you get over that and you hit this golf shot and you get a feel for it you realize that the added Apex height that you're getting out of this is something that you don't want to leave on the table so this is a 6 iron right now we're slightly into Breeze and I'm hitting the tp5 golf ball that is something if you're out there and considering this I will say it doesn't quite spin as much but remember I'm coming at this from a slightly different angle to most people out there it doesn't spin quite as much as the p7 CB but if you put in the tp5 and you make the Lofts what you play that is another crucial thing I've changed the Lofts to be where I have them then you can get some spin out of these irons so that they're very playable so we're slightly into Breeze here just check out the Apex that this goes on and that is another classic that was not Absol absolutely flushed but based on the construction of the golf club I've been hitting these about 172 is that's just got one 168 out of it on a slight Mish hit with an apex on a six iron now you might want to work out well how do we hit that how do we know what our Apex is that gave me 97 anytime you take your Club speed number and we got this shout out big wave Dave at KBS anytime you get your Club speed number which for me on that last golf shot was coming in at 93.9 with a 6 iron and then the Apex was 97 that's very much something you can deal with that was only 6,000 and a touch of spins based on it not being the best strike so I'll lay down another one for you and there you go you can see that ripping up with the spin and just coming out a little F out to the right but our spin number is now in the high 6,000 6,779 that's with a tp5 golf ball I've been changing around I don't know if I want to change golf balls yet at this point in the season obviously it's something you can look at but it gives you the consistent yardage and the consistent distance out of it that you get now into a long iron which is where it's just an absolute no-brainer now how would you like to gain 20 ft when it comes to your for iron this is the tp5x ball now so we've all got a realistic one on that but let's just lay it out there probably can reach that far green get a feel for it nice looking Club much different feel newly designed sole so it's going to cut through all of the players Forge Construction in here has all been designed to give a slightly different sound slightly different feel so as you do look at this set and hit it that's what you're going to get back from this height is what you want on your iron certainly out here in the US and that's a long iron just a pure hit the consistency that's why I keep picking it up and going back to it so with the tp5x golf ball 4,067 spin I've said it before in these videos anytime you can spin the golf ball around about the number on the sole that's good Apex I explained to you earlier so with the 4 iron we had a club speed coming in at 95.9 now the Apex came out because it's less Loft actually at 70 so that was one of the lower ones but it still gave me 196 so now if I physically try and hit one a bit higher for you this should be pretty easy to do again the confidence behind the ball with the look it looks great from the back new Top Line on it as well and it just comes off with so much Pace slight pull even there but still giving me a good launch number 12° 4,000 on the spin 4,054 200 on the distance and that went up to 84 on the Apex very very player friendly very consistent looks good in the bag looks great behind the golf ball where it counts and the beauty is you can get all the way down into the short irons and they still look extremely playable and consistent we did a wedge test with the old p770 that again I'll put the link to below but pitching wedge wise the consistency I've been seeing out of this on full shots unbelievable just such a great height out of it I think we were working with about 116 earlier on these now we're slightly into Breeze carry distance coming up for us into Breeze 113 off the full swing so there's what you're going to get from an iron like this it's been unbelievable before anytime tailor made play around with the p770 it's it's always going to be a fan favorite it's been played by such a wide range of handicapped golfers it's designed for the player who wants to maintain consistency off the blade if you want a bit more height if you like the p7 CB I get it I love the p7 CB but I've actually for the first time ever given this club a bit more test time and it's very hard to ignore based on the look based on the feel and I'm very much still working through the gears with it it's just a set that I think they've absolutely nailed you're not going to be disappointed if you want to know more about these irons check the description below I will add and reiterate the point I made earlier consider your golf ball because if you're a good player spin rate as you know is so important so cons consider your golf ball Choice which is what we're doing here and check your Lofts get your Lofts where you want them they do come out a hairr strong ER than the other clubs be it the Tiger Woods iron the p7tw or P or the p7 CB they're going to come out Stock A Little Bit Stronger which is another reason you need to go out and get fitted it's an awesome bat and it's something I'm definitely considering because of the ease at which it just plays and the consistency of the flight so that was that 6 iron again we're playing a 168 before and it's just gone out there at the the 173 and that was struck well with the tp5x well worth trying out you don't need to hear it from me that this is always a fan favorite for tailor made but it's the new p770 you're going to see some of these on tour Jason day is now Leading The Way with these types of irons all for good reason I think it's something that I can't ignore and I think you shouldn't be ignoring it either be sure to check it out everything down below a [Applause]
