hi everyone meteorologist Justin Bard with the Houston Chronicle wanting to give you an update here on this Tuesday September 10th it is just before 11: a.m. and we've got a new advisory issued about an hour ago for tropical storm Francine still tropical storm you see where the path is going heading into Louisiana likely as a hurricane by Wednesday even though Houston and Southeast Texas is not in the direct path of Francine we will still face some impacts let's take a look at those flood risk through Wednesday morning this is my kind of crudely drawn of Southeast Texas Houston galvaston just for reference conro right here right here that green area is where we have the potential for flooding through Wednesday morning let's shift it from Wednesday into Thursday morning that flood risk basically shifts to along and east of I45 including Houston Bowmont conro and galvaston what about storm surge well let's take a look we know that the upper Texas Gulf Coast is particularly susceptible to storm surge from High Island to galvaston 1 to 3 feet high Island North and East 3 to 5 feet
