uh I'm just doing the opposite of JD Vance who gets into a pool with the top who does that why would he actually do that uh lawence donnald for me has hit the nail on the head in terms of how everything is being covered right now particularly we just hours in front of the debate and some of the garbage headlines which have been thrown out there are crazy in this article the New York Times is trying to cure itself of its habit of sashing Donald Trump and in the very next passage after the one that I just read the New York Times tries to sandwash what Donald Trump said last week to these stupid rich people at the New York economic Club who clapped enthusiastically for Donald Trump's incoherent response to a question about child care a response that was not an answer it was a widely criticized incoherent jumble that did not answer the question about child care in any way and in the article tonight the New York times thought they could cure their sashing habit by quoting a larger portion of what Donald Trump said about child care instead of the short sashed bits that they used in the coverage of that event last week here is the New York Times attempt at a cure for its own habit of sashing in which in the end it sashes Donald Trump again tonight's article says that because quoting Donald Trump at length quote can provide additional context here is a more extended account of his reply on affordable child care it's a very important issue but I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I'm talking about that because Child Care is child care it's couldn't you know there's something you have to have it in this country you have to have it but when you talk about those numbers compared to the kind of numbers that I'm talking about by taxing foreign Nations at levels that they're not used to but they'll get used to it very quickly and it's not going to stop them from doing business with us but they'll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country those numbers are so much bigger than any numbers that we're talking about including child care that it's going to take care and after running that extended incoherent response by Donald Trump the New York Times then in the very next paragraph sandwashed it with this interpretation what he seemed to be saying was that he would raise so much money by imposing tariffs on imported goods that the country could use the proceeds to pay for child care in itself that would be a disputable policy assumption a disputable policy assumption that is the single most disturbing thing I have read in the New York Times about the New York Times like really really crazy uh JD JD Vance has managed to concoct some just rubbish about dogs being eaten by immigrants it's just Harris and Donald Trump tonight in Philadelphia we're going to preview that Showdown and go through the latest polling from states which could decide November's election also ahead we're going to explain the false claims about migrants and pets that are beinged wait wait hold on a second family is amplifying this acting like this is I mean I don't even know where to begin you know it used to be I think in 2018 2020 the LIE uh about about immigrants uh and illegal immigrants caddy was they were bringing leprosy to America which of course they were not uh now uh it is that they are eating your dogs they are coming to America and eating your cats yeah don't live in Ohio with a cat because it might get eaten obviously by little mittens is going to be like it's sweeping the country it's it's a terrible terrible this is absolutely ridiculous and scraping the bottom of the barrel and JD Vance has been you know amplifying this and it's being Amplified apparently this has gone crazy on the kind of right-wing social media sites um and it's the allegation to to this comes with a very public health warning immigrants are not eating your cats yes um but the story is that Haitian immigrants are eating cats and this is how things have changed Sam I mean there Have Always Been Crazy R social media in American CRA theet the craziness of it is the internet but also that you have people on the presidential ticket actually spreading these lies now you have JD Vance running around going they are eating your cats yeah I mean they all have what's this what's this guy's Obsession about cats first he hates them then he likes them he's trying to save them but then they're like it's it's I don't get it like I I think inflation maybe too many women like cats rather than JD V some call and he needs to some now he is the great protector of cats yeah it makes a lot of sense if you think about it that way uh to your point yeah they all have they all have microphones they all have huge platforms of their own right used to be that they'd have to call a press conference or do some sit down interview spread some lie in this case quite literally in succession there was like 10 official accounts or unofficial associated with Trump campaign that just Amplified this completely manufactured lie a complete lie and also another complete lie and something else which is equally as crazy uh Fox News today Fox and Friends have invited camela Harris to come and talk to them said don't be afraid why would she want to do it I mean she sat down in CNN and they spent ages asking her to react to nonsense that Trump had to say this election is not a some cable news people see it or some people on Twitter this is not a reality TV show it's not like a soap this involves real lives for real situations uh Ian why are the surrogates uh lowering expectations on her I I know she's been saying uh you know we're the underdog but we've seen all sorts of people over the last 72 hours say saying you know Donald Trump's done this seven times this is her first time he's really good at it are are you worried about her performance no she's going to be ready and 's going to be ready to share her vision in the debate I think that what we've been talking about is how the structure of this debate I mean Donald Trump's team threatened to pull him out of this debate unless he could have a muted microphone I think that they are worried about that's the deal that you guys you guys you know the Biden Campaign which is now the kamla Harris campaign agreed to that originally that was your suggestion you guys wrote it all out and put it out on um social media and then Trump goes I'm for all that stuff it was your idea initially well we we have two different we have a different candidate now Vice President Harris is a different candidate than President Biden and vice president Harris about having about having a real dialogue in this debate to where the two candidates could engage but president Trump's team wouldn't wouldn't budge they weren't willing to have President Trump be unmuzzled to talk about what he really wants to talk about in this debate they wanted to keep him controlled in a two-minute span so that he didn't Veer off wildly Off Script and so I think that what we've been talking about you ask about sort of the expectations of this debate you know president Trump is going to be more restrained he's going to be more disciplined because the microphones are going to force him not to Veer Off Script not to lash out not to attack even though he may want to do that but his team worked very hard to try to keep that rule in place so that he wouldn't be able to do that it it looks like so she did that interview about a week or so ago with uh CNN uh and she's going to do the one debate that we know of uh is there any possibility you know you keep talking about Fox News viewers she should come on Fox and speak to their concerns directly and we've got a big couch here it would be great to have her on the program Ian come on invite her tell her tell her I officially invited her on Fox and Friends that that's very kind and I will relay that to the vice president for sure and I know uh you know she's talked uh at the White House a number of times to Peter duy and Jackie Hinrich you know excellent reporter who are there at the white house uh you know she's going to be doing more events across the country hitting the campaign Trail just later this week going to North Carolina going to Pennsylvania she's gonna be doing more interviews she's going to be doing more uh events where she can engage directly talk to them she shouldn't be afraid if bring her on Fox and Friends then you know if if if she can't talk to us God for uh how she deals with pu
