Isaac Yiadom did something 49ers Nick Sorenson had never seen before 👀

one of the toughest position battles going into 49ers training camp will be the cornerback position obviously we are locked in with Mooney Ward and dador Lenor as the team's top two quarterbacks but as we all know the 49ers have really struggled in recent memory and fed for quite some time just really locking down three solid cornerbacks for a consistent period of time so no different heading into this training camp we got to figure out who quarterback three going to be and as we know the San Francisco 49ers have absolutely loaded up the position whether it was in the draft or free agency but we did hear from 49ers defensive coordinator Nick senson about Isaac yadam doing something that he had never seen a player doe before and might be a strong indication that Isaac yadam is currently the clubhouse leader for that quarterback three spot let's take a listen to the defensive coordinator and we'll talk about the cornerback position more holistically on the opposite side I think with Ike he came into the league and he kind of bounced around for a while but everything we had heard about him and you see is what he's been when he got here he was kind of self-made like he works he's very serious um I think when he came to sign he he actually like went and got a workout after he sign like I've never seen that he's but that's him and I think that's what's kind of shown up with with who he is and he's very meticulous and and the stuff my bad the stuff that showed up later in the year with him and how he competed against a lot of really good receivers I think it's it's been awesome that we're seeing that now too he's very technical he's very strong and I think he's a guy that's also like we talk about Mooney being strong and a tackler he's got that in his history as well like he's a tough guy he's physical he plays with his hands he's violent he's he communicates he SE things before they happen and that stuff is showing up so Isaac yadam was signed from the Saints in free agency he was obviously able to assign wherever he wanted to but the 49ers brought him in and he was the guy in free agency who had the most likely track to become that third quarterback we also know the 49ers added Rock Yin and Chase Lucas during free agency and they were able to add Renardo green as well Bea the draft so they have went and brought in four cornerbacks to compete for that third spots who's going to be the guy who's going to take hold of it and on top of that you also got second-year player who sounds like he's making some solid strides in mandatory mini camp and OTAs and that's Daryl lutter Jr so he's another guy that we have to be on the lookout for but you also have Ambry Thomas Samuel wack Chase Lucas and kimon Hall buying for roster spots as well but what I loved about hearing that kind of little peak in behind the scenes was after Isaac yadam signed he went and got a workout he went over to the waight room he's like all right we're good I'm here we're locked in all right I'm gonna go work out now and he's like I don't know if I've ever seen that before and that story was emblematic of who Isaac yadam is as a person he's a worker he's earned every single thing he's gotten in this league he's bounced across a couple different teams and just again still trying to find his spot but one of the reasons why he's still in the league is because of his work ethic and his talent and what he can provide for a team so the San Francisco 49ers might have a guy who could come in and be that third cornerback in the rotation which are various in damer Lenor and it very well could be yam now obviously Renardo green has also been impressing in Camp and that's a guy that we're also very excited about as a fan base we're we're loving what yadam and ronard green bring to the table but also very excited about Daryl luter Jr like we talked about and seeing what those guys can offer and I already did my way too early 53 man roster prediction and I did have the San Francisco 49ers keeping five cornerbacks and the five that I had them keeping was Ward yadam Lenor green and lutter so obviously that would mean it would be the end of the Ambry Thomas era uh but I do believe that the 49ers aren't waiting around for Ambry Thomas to develop into the quarterback that they thought he could be when they drafted him in the third round out of Michigan we know know that it's a now or never type League obviously you're going to get a little bit of a leash that based on when you were drafted and so you are going to sometime get that ability to develop but unfortunately for Ambry Thomas it just hasn't come to fruition now Ambry Thomas has the opportunity to do something that no one's expecting come out and absolutely wow people at training camp now obviously he's struggled in pretty much every training camp he has had since being in the n NFL so there's no expectation that Ambry is going to do that but he has the opportunity to so we'll see that's one thing that we got to look out for in training camp and it's one of the things that I one of the positions I am most excited to watch play out is how is this cornerback room going to look when the 49ers cut the 53 man roster and who Rises Who falls because there are only so so many roster spots and there just isn't enough room to keep all of these guys so who is it going to be who's the odd man out who's the right man in that is going to be one of the more exciting storylines for training camp when it opens up and can't wait to see that all play out but in regards to Isaac yadam uh I have him kind of penciled in as the quarterback three prior to OTAs in training camp or excuse me uh mandatory mini camp so I think all this does is further solidify kind of how they view him internally as the coaching staff their plans and how they see him fitting in to this defense and how this is a good spot for the San Francisco 49ers right now and I was talking about it you know on stream last night is like this could be one of the better cornerback rooms that we've seen for the San Francisco 49ers in a while especially if Isaac yadam turns out to be the guy that I think he could be so and of course green to and Daryl lutter Jr and if that is the the Five Guys that we got rolling into the season and all of them show the promise that we expect them to show this could be the best quarterback room we've seen in like two decades so I'm excited exed about this I'm excited about the development I'm excited to hear what Nick senson has to say about the 49ers free agent
