smt Nation we are back Nation big news out of T-Mobile they've accomplished something via satellite with starlink that I think is the perfect application for this type of Technology let's talk about it here in this video link for the article from the t-mobile.com NewsCenter will be provided in the description ways to support us can be found there as well please do like and share this video subscribe if you're new here turn on the Bell notification icon to never miss an upload from the smt all right folks straight out of Belleview Washington T-Mobile makes the announcement satellite to smartphone technology that is going to be sending emergency alerts and this won't be specific just at T-Mobile I think these emergency alerts will be utilized by all carriers uh but they're going to use this alert system uh so a successful transmission you know send and receive a wireless emergency alert what's known as WEA via satellite and it was successful and and they nailed it so this is a big moment I think this is probably one of the use cases that we all can see uh definitely is to the benefit of emergency responders people within affected regions you know think about some of the extreme weather events think about all the geological processes that can go on at any given moment seismically active places volcanically active places a lot can happen right and people you know being connected in the worst of times in the most precarious of situations and places it allows them to have some form of connectivity in which you can receive a notification to respond to get away to to move to transplant you know to move around whatever it takes you know so where the cellular networks from the terrestrial side aren't available no cell towers no problem you still get the emergency alert so this is great this is huge I love it fantastic this is how I view satellite connectivity across the board for everyone obviously I'm I'm much more bearish on satellite for like traditional data consumption like watching videos you know I I don't really see the sense and trying to build out satellite density to the point where you're trying to use it as you normally would you know I I think it's just unrealistic I think it's much more challenging uh in the in the short term I you know maybe unrealist ISC maybe in the in the more medium-term long term some of those things will be more capable with respect to like video calls and things of that nature stable voice calls I think should be uh a part of this but you know this is a good step in the right direction so exciting T-Mobile conducts it Nails it great news and excited to see uh the developments for satellite see it take that next step and uh you know kind of become something reliable in emergency contact information amazing stuff love it link for the article is down in the description again so you guys can check out some of those details and then comment and tell me what you think about this and uh you know if you're happy about this and excited to see it you know in your case is it something that you could see yourself you know taking advantage of I I I don't care who it is I I could see this being important for anyone but uh let me hear what you guys have to say on to see all the voice of the people the smt nation let your voice be heard
