playing sports on a Saturday morning is for many a quintessential part of growing up but with registration costs higher than ever some parents are worried it's too much then that football fees seem to be going up every year and for a lot of families they're quite unaffordable particularly for people who have more than one child and you're paying for two or three or even four or more kids clubs say there's very little they can do but there are operating costs there are running costs that we are not immune to either in the same way that you know people you know go down in your veggies and everything are more expensive at the supermarket parables are more expensive you know we're not immune to those things as well fees are skyrocketing across the board with some clubs charging over two hundred dollars to register a youth player but keeping costs down is a challenge for everyone and often downright impossible they are as cheap as they possibly can be support wise you know they their governing body do give us support what we lack in as facilities you know we'd love to be able to play all year round but we can't we can't do that and that's more local government not our sporting body he says the council needs to do more you know how a sporting body works with us too or try to obtain those particular facilities but our local government you know there seems to be a bit of a challenge for that to happen it's interesting we other regions can make it happen but obviously ours can't there's no easy fix parents say costs are too high but clubs can't go any lower Sam Coughlin metro news
