all right before we get started American Girl if you are watching this and you have an issue with me having this video up I would really appreciate it if you would send me a quick email at idream of Johnny gmail.com instead of putting a copyright strike on my channel but I believe people are getting these things in the mail so I think this is probably kosher to put up either way how exciting we finally have the first images of The Collector holiday dolls for 2024 by American Girl now obviously right off the bat I am so so so so excited that we get two dolls this year one with deep skin and one with light skin I am thrilled that we have a clot sculpt I feel like American Girl knows what they have with this clot sculpt you know we saw Tiana recently uh earlier this year with um the same head sculpt and it looks like we have our third cloudy head sculpt doll I again I'm just so excited because it's one of my absolute favorite head sculpts in American Girls range and I'm glad she's getting appreciation she deserves so yeah I think this is super exciting as many people had predicted based on the names of the Dolls which is the pink Stardust holiday collector doll we all knew we were getting pink dresses this year and I think that's really great because you know I these are holiday dolls they're not specific to a specific holiday so they're not Christmas they're not Hanukkah or Quanza it kind of works for everybody and I love that about these so it's a really good opportunity for them to play with different colors I mean pink is not exactly Earth shattering for a doll brand but I personally love pink so I have zero issues with a color palette on this I think there was a holiday Barbie from the 9s it was one of the first ones I want to say it was like 1990 or 1991 that had like a big like hot pink ball gown so weirdly this is like nostalgically christmy to me so I don't know I'm really really excited about the dolls especially I mean obviously hello I'm most excited about the clot version of this doll but it looks like our like skin version is a Josina sculpt from what I can tell there's been a little bit of back and forth with some people on whether it's Marie Grace or Josina but I'm pretty sure it's hoshina and she has really nice light blue eyes a bright pink lip and sort of uh like lighter brown colored hair now again I know it's not super Earth shattering but you know I think American girl knows what their best hits are and I think with this holiday release I think they've really gone with something that I think that they feel like it's going to be a slam dunk I am very curious to hear what people's opinions on the dresses are like I said I really love pink I love a pink ball gown on a doll because it's so '90s Barbie to me I'm curious what you think of these I've heard mixed opinions on them admittedly they're not my favorite thing in the world but I think as far as like holiday dresses that American girl has done I guess they started this line in what like 2021 maybe uh maybe 2020 but they've only been doing it for a few years and I have to say I actually like these better than most of the other ones that they've done so I'm really excited to see what they look like in person I will say I mean I did do a video earlier today and here I am like recording late at night CU I really wanted to share this with everybody but I know I like dropped a video about the Anna collector doll earlier today and talked about like the crystals and all of that stuff and my opinion is still the same I really wish we could just have like generic rhinestones or whatever because we don't know exactly what these dolls are going to cost yet I am hoping they are not $310 I would assume that they're not going to be because the um the Frozen dolls uh were $310 but they also have a Disney license and Swarovski Crystals attached to them so I'm hoping that this doll will end up being under $300 because I really really want the clotty version of this doll because there are so few clotty dolls in their range so it's really exciting to see a new doll with the clotty head sculpt especially because she has what kind of look like hazel eyes I think they are very similar to the color of Summer McKenna's eyes if I had to guess they're sort of like a hazley kind of brown color they're very beautiful and they're the pin wheel style instead of decal which my only complain about claudy is that she has the decal like printed eyes which are not my favorite that American girl makes but you know they've been doing that eye style since Samantha in 1986 so it is quintessentially American girl I just prefer the pin wheel style eyes like U Molly and Kirsten have so you know I just think they look a little bit more dimensional and they have some depth to them so yeah this doll looks so great it looks like she might have the number 30 skin tone uh and clot I believe is number 35 so I think that there are enough differences between this doll and CLA that they feel like two separate people to me so I really really want this one I know some people will probably complain that her hair type is a little too similar to cloudy I mean it's beautiful and I will say I do think the spiral curls are maybe a tad over used I would love to see a little bit more diversity but they have been doing that with other dolls so they get a pass from me on this one because again I just think she's so beautiful and also her lip color is sort of like a bright pink color it looks a little bit more like lipstick versus like claudy who has more of a natural lip tone the only thing that I can't really tell based on the scans that I've seen thus far uh is what her eyebrows look like because her eyebrow shape is not the same as the light-skinned version of this doll I mean you can tell that very obviously it looks like we have like the lighter skin has like thicker eyebrows and I think they're more I'm trying to remember I think a lot of the truly mlls have that style of eyebrow where I'm a little nervous that the claudy version of this has the Tiana eyebrows which are not my favorite the eyebrows are the main reason I did not buy Tiana so hopefully they aren't exactly the same we'll see but I they do kind of look a little bit similar to the Disney dolls so once we get some more pictures as uh you know time goes on I think these dolls are scheduled to be released probably on Tuesday or Wednesday if I had to guess I know there's an inore event for them and I think some of you are going and I was thinking about going to the local Charlotte one but I ended up deciding not to because I'm going to try and make it for the Girl of the Year release and I couldn't do both but yeah anyway I'm just trying to look at other details on here while I still have you I don't even know if this video will survive um so yeah the crown I think looks so pretty I think that's where they probably put most of the crystal effort in maybe like that in the purse but the crown is super pretty it looks like similar to the one that Chapel rone wore at her tiny dusk concert which I love uh looks like she has a star necklace which I think is really great um the bracelet looks awesome too it looks like it might actually be made out of metal and then obviously adorned with Swarovski Crystals and I think my favorite piece out of the entire look for all of these is that star-shaped purse that is so cool looking and definitely like might be the one thing that sends me over the edge and makes me end up buying this doll cuz that purse is super duper cool I would say really my main criticism is like the placement of the crystals on the dress itself I think it's a little bit patchy like I don't know I I feel like for a holiday collector doll I do wish we saw like a little bit more bling in the skirt but but we'll see I I feel like I will probably end up seeing these dolls in person I mean if not end up buying one of them but overall yeah I think they look really great I'm curious to see what the shoes look like if I had to bet money on it I bet we're getting a little kitten heel because those have been so popular lately uh and as usual we have pierced ears and it looks like they've got really big Swarovski Crystal studs uh what else do we have here I think that probably is more or less the rundown for this all again I have no idea if American girl is going to try and take this video down so we'll see what happens hopefully they don't completely sabotage my channel over this but I was so excited and I really wanted to hop on here and get some of y'all's opinions on the dolls because there's still a few things we need to learn about them we don't know what the addition size is going to be and yeah they're just a few details that we haven't seen yet but I'm really curious what your thoughts are also I don't know who is the person that is responsible for uploading this scan of the catalog that they received in the mail I will put it in a pinned comment at the top of the comment section for in this video to give them credit so um please let me know especially unless that person wants to be anonymous I don't know hopefully this video isn't a disaster because I've done it so last minute and I'm just basically begging people not to like attack my channel over it but anyway um yeah if you know who is um the owner
