Lee Carsley Announces First England Squad as New Manager

okay guys we've got some breaking news here the England squad the first Squad named by interim manager Lee carsley has been officially announced just now I haven't seen the squad I'm going to react to it as I do this video of you guys so the main headline here is that non madek fresh from his hatrick against wolver hampon at the weekend he is given his first ever England qualify lots of things on top of that we've also got Angel Gomez Morgan gibbes White know livo also all getting their first calls of course these are all players that Lee Cosley has used or has played with not played with has managed there we go that's the turn during his time as the under 21 manager which of course he was until very very recently so let's have a look at who is in the full Squad here what has actually changed I'm just reading from an article by the way on skysports.com so shout out to these guys for doing this Lee Cary has called up uncapped quartet madai Gomez gibbes white and Tino liento for England's Nation Leagues games against the Republic of Ireland and Finland I can't believe we're playing against teams like this in the Nations League that just shows you how bad we were it's time to get relegated but here we are hopefully we're going for PR this time around back to the a group whatever it is the A1 group I don't know how it works it's just yeah it's a friendly competition but there is actually something on the line in theory it's a weird one M Le Defender Gomez Nottingham Forest Gibs white and Newcastle Defender liento all played for card Char Ley in the under 21s the interim boss naming his first England squad since southgate's departure in 2024 has also recalled Jack relish Harry MaGuire Nick Pope but no Marcus rashford Kyle Walker or Ivan Tony interesting no Walker also there'll be no Ken trippier either because he has officially announced his retirement from The Three Lions Squad too Arsenal's Ben White remains absent so there we go Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham is out due to injury fair enough ramsdale dunk Gomez and wal Walton and Shaw are also not involved Rico Lewis and cwell who have one cap each are included in defensive unit which also includes Trent AR Alexander Arnold but will he play as a Defender I hope so I hope so and he's been officially included as a Defender anyway in the in the lineup so yeah let's just go through the lineups here so the goalkeepers Jordan pford Dean Henderson Nick Pop I think those was are all absolutely Fair enough ramsdale is not playing right now for Arsenal he's not secured a loone move to anywhere else so that's unlikely to change as I record this of course transfer deadline day is looming tomorrow so I think those three are absolutely fair enough in defense there's Arnold liento Lewis cwell Maguire gayi conza and Stones I'll be interested to see how Leo goes he's someone who's very highly rated by the Newcastle fans Lewis has been getting some more action as well for City so there is that too cwell has a bit of a left field one but he's decent he's a decent player Maguire I like Maguire as you guys know so it's not a big surprise there in Midfield there's Conor gallager kobby Manu gives Gomez rice Palmer and foden it's good to see Gomez in there because it's someone who is playing in a foreign league and there's not many of them in the squad I think it's the only one apart from Harry Kane sorry cuz obviously bellham is not included in this one Gallagher in there from the Spanish League 2 that's good to see that on top of that how K greish boen eie Kane Gordon sacka and Watkins are the forwards so I mean overall overall I think that's a good squad I mean obviously why Ben White that is is he's had some sort of falling out with with Southgate I don't think he should be a shoeing to come back in even though I think he's a good player I think there is Big potential for him to disrup the side Gish is someone who is decent at the end of the day just does performed pretty well he's not been playing too much for Man City but hopefully that'll change Walker I'm surprised Walker not in there but the end of the day on top of things as well it's also a case that we're playing against the Republic of Ireland and Finland and with the greatest respect to these national teams they're not very good let's let's be honest here let's be let's be totally honest here cuz neither of them even qualified for the Euros like these are not good teams so we can afford to do some experimentation in there uh you can afford to try some players who wouldn't normally play and obviously Tony isn't playing right now either unfortunately I I think he probably will get that move to Chelsea potenti eventually but he's not playing rashford has not been atdi it for a while now unfortunately Walker's disappointed to miss out but yeah I think overall it's a good squad I'll be honest I wouldn't change too much there maybe one or two different things but at the end of the day like I said give him a chance experiment go for something a bit different and Greece is the other team that's in the Nations League group again didn't even qualify for the oros so these are not good teams we can afford to put out the b Squad effectively and play some players that haven't normally played so best of luck to all Lads good luck to those who have never played for England before I'm
