it's such a fabulous show a unique take on the week's news the last leg is back on our screens on Channel 4 this Friday for a triumphant 30th series spearheaded by comedian Adam Hills alongside Josh Wham and Alex Brooker or should we call him Bigfoot uh and it got off to a roaring start again last Friday what did you make of the M singer well I was in Australia for the six weeks leading up to that episode so I was getting texts from people saying is Alex Brooker Bigfoot I had no idea he was on my singer no cuz that's the point he's supposed to keep it a secret from everybody I know but I didn't even know there was a Bigfoot all I got was is Alex Brook a Bigfoot and I'm like have you not seen our show he's clearly not have you talk to him about it since you must have done did you address it we we talked about it on last week's show I pulled out a whole detective Board of Clues okay brilliant got right up in his face and fair play to him he did not give it away he didn't Flinch you know the worst thing is now I'm getting tweets from people saying well why is Adam singing on the show why isn't Alex the singer on the show from now on oh well he's he can have it from now you feel like you've been bigf footed by Alex and maybe yeah you're going to be usurped on your own show that is a new show biz turn for being St in is why you've then gone on to a different show a show that your daughter said please don't go on so don't embarrass me dad no there's that thing I don't know if you have it with kids but like all the time every day yes and we've done quite a lot of embarrassing both of us over the years right and so I would be asked to go on shows that kids my daughters loved and I think they'd be really excited no it like I think they were just thinking don't ruin my favorite show okay so tell us it's the great celebrity bakeer yes is it already in the is it already in the oven we filmed it's in the oven it's come out of the oven right and it's been judged did it rise or not Soggy Bottom I gave good comedy did you that's what people want to see isn't it I'm going right I'm going to tell you something when I when I turned up for filming of I wasn't okay I'm going to tell you this tell nobody just between US just between us right first thing Paul Hollywood said was he came over to me and he went Adam I haven't seen you since I was on 15 to1 when you did that celebrity thing 10 years ago and I got knocked out first cuz I got the hardest questions and I was like I've forgotten all about that are you carrying he hasn't no I said are you carrying a grudge he went maybe that's before I've even started baking should we dig that out and um Paul Hollywood next comes in you can play it to him um so tell us what your daughter said what my daughter said yes about celebrity bov she she was very excited because it turned out one of her favorite Stars was in the tent with me I'm not sure if I can say who it was well no one one no was between us three okay right it was Joe lock from heartstopper and so what I did was I took some of his biscuits home to Australia for my daughter well are you allowed to do that no but you know what dad's do like it's this is just between us right no exactly okay cool yeah uh the Border Force won't be watching always say to me dad that's was supposed to be embarrassing but you're overachieving did you overachieve oh absolutely yeah but I did get a video message from jool loock from my daughter as well so oh that that points is it that's brilliant it's such an amazing show the last leg because you know it's edgy even though it's prime time oh yeah and everybody's been on I've been on a few times they love coming back because it's such a fun show but also it's like so pathbreaking I mean there will be people who won't remember this it started with the 2012 par Olympics of course the last leg you transformed the way people talk about and laugh about and live with disability I would think you are such role models to so many people did you know back then in 2012 what what a massive thing you were going to do no no no no I I knew how massive the Paralympics were and I figured our job was just to tell people how great the Paralympics are and making people feel comfortable with dis ability was kind of a side effect that we needed to get through in order for them to love the par Olympics um there was there's a really interesting thing that's happened with the last League which is when we talk about disability I'm really proud because we're putting it on TV and there there when we don't I kind of think like oh I wonder if we should be but then a few people with disabilities have said no no no that's really important too because you're showing that people with disabilities can be on television and not just talk about their disabilities they can talk about other stuff as well so it's kind of an accident it's an accident responsibility it's a bit like I feel I feel a bit like Spider-Man with great power comes great responsibility but has has anything done anything bigger for public awareness and understanding of disability than the last leg of the last 10 years I'd say no nothing I mean I would credit all of that to ludvig Gutman who invented the par Olympics I think his vision of of what the paral Olympics could do for society you took it to mainstream have ridden his coattails you it's brilliant it's great to see you uh last Le continues this Friday Channel 4 10 and we will be quizzing Alex Brooker about the amount of Lies he told us last week when he said he wasn't big and we need a 31st series and a 3 second will you come back yeah will you come I'm too scared I'm too scared because the word en really would you come with me we both come yes awesome there
