Today, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump returned to the campaign trail following their first and it seems only debate against each other. Harris is in North Carolina today to kick off her new way forward to her. Well, Trump is in Arizona. Each represents two of the biggest battle around states in this election. Meanwhile, Republican Ohio, Governor Mike Dewine addressed the baseless claims of immigrants eating people's pets in Springfield, Ohio. It was a claim which emerged repeatedly during the first Trump Harris debate. This is something that uh came up on the internet and the internet can be quite crazy sometimes. Uh And look the mayor, uh Mayor Rue uh of Springfield says no, there's no truth in that. They have no evidence of that at all. Just hours ago, Trump on truth social declared he will not participate in another debate this election cycle in the post. Trump said quote, there will be no third debate to clarify. Trump is arguing. Harris could have accepted a debate offer from Fox News on September 4th. Uh Trump and Harris only formally debated one time earlier this week here on ABC and news starting this election. The federal government will give the act of service finding the results. The highest security designation made available January 6th will now be designated as a quote national special security event by the Department of Homeland Security. Washington DC. Mayor Muriel Bowser made the request to federal authorities for comparison. The security for the 2025 election result, certification would now be on par with the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.
