beloved Red Sox yesterday and they're playing the spaghetti pirate Spencer arti and I was thinking he'd be serving him about meatballs and instead he took him out back and struck him out 13 times just a a master performance by arti Ninja how was he able to do my Red Sox so dirty well I mean for one thing he's on a ridiculous tear right now these 13 strikeouts were the most strikeouts in a game by an Astros pitcher since arag Getti did in his last outing he's the first rookie pitcher in Al history to have back-to- back 12 strikeouts or more games and only two pitchers have CED 38 hitters or more in a three-game span in the last four years will do you know who they are you know one of them I would guess de Gro and Strider um you would guess deg Gro and Spencer arag Getti those are the only two Dam it Strider was a good guess but even Strider pales in comparison with the spaghetti pirate he had 13 strikeouts in seven Innings giving up only two runs and dominated with his mix of curveballs sweepers and change UPS here's a breakdown of his pitches you can see he really mixed things up despite arety's dominance the Astros barely SLI past the Red Sox five to four that's a moral Victory right will it is not ninja they lost the game and they could have won it and it sucks do they move up in the standings for moral victories and stuff perhaps but we wouldn't know because they didn't get one this game he faced Josh wowski who had 1K in three Innings as the opener gave up only one run he had this 96 mph paint now that the rest of my whip around the league Carlos Ron had 6ks five and 2/3 scoreless Innings giving up only three hits he had these fast balls up to 99 milph and absolutely painted with it and I love this as rodon is trash talking Langford basically here and the Umpire thought he was talking to him he was telling Langford if you don't like it swing the bat and he's getting like a lecture from the Umpire he's like no I wasn't talking to you classic mix up Ron also had this slider and the Yankees shut out the Rangers eight to nothing he faced Nathan avaldi who had four ks in three Innings giving up three runs and had these Splitters curveball and cutter the Oakland A's shut out the Blue Jays one to nothing asalo had five KS and six scoreless Innings giving up two hits and his elevated cutter and slider he faced yiel Rodriguez who had five k in five and two-thirds Innings giving up one run on five hits and had these sliders Logan web had eight K in seven Innings giving up one run he had these sweepers including this filthy sweeper in the middle of the the other batters box that was swung at by Javi bz he stins I can't say I would do any better but I sure as hell no I wouldn't do any worse look at the pitch plot of this pitch and where this pitch ended up it is almost not on the screen here that's how terrible this was Logan web also had these change UPS he faced Alex F had onek and one score is hitting as the opener and had the slider Matt walr had 5Ks in four and a third Innings giving up five runs had these fast balls and picked up a sword as well as of course his knuckle balls here's a really pretty knuckle ball and look at this one I know it's a ball but this knuckle ball has a mind of its own and broke 23 inch armide almost two feet of run on this thing that's what it means by it catches a seam and just goes running away the Padres paddled past the Marlins 9 to8 he faced Roder Moon who had three ks in five innings giving up three runs he had this inadvertent painted fast ball and the slider Garrett Cole was really good yesterday with 10 strikeouts and five in a third Innings give up only one run and still the Yankees lost to the Rangers nine to4 he had these heaters these knuckle curves and Sliders he faced Cody Bradford who had seven ks in five innings giv up one run and had this change up and curveball Patrick Corbin wasn't great yesterday had two ks in four Innings giving up four runs but the Nets still got the W and W five to four he had these sliders and picked up a sword he faced Griffin canning who had no strikeouts so he gets no highlights sorry Griffin in the pitcher Duel of the day the Amish pitcher Tobias Myers faced off against Nick Martinez and the Brewers ended up winning one to nothing over the Reds Tobias Myers was absolutely electric um I guess he can't be electric if he's an Amish farmer unless it's rums Springer he that's correct a you he had nine K and seven and a third scoreless Innings giving up only three hits and his painted fast ball this change up and curveball and he face Nick Martinez who had seven ks in seven scoreless Innings giving up only one hit and had this painted fast ball and these change UPS the Guardians down the twins two to one Gavin Williams had three ks in six Innings giv up one run he had these fast balls in Cutters SL sliders I mean I think he's still calling this a slider but he changed the movement profile of this pitch and it looks a lot more like a cutter he got KS on him we don't care what it's called as long as no one hits it he faced Simeon Woods Richardson who had seven KS and seven Innings giving up two runs had this elevated fast ball and change up Michael Waka had sixks in seven Innings giving up two runs he had these Cutters curveballs and change UPS really didn't go hard in the mother paint here as a Royals shot down the cards at the three he faced Andre Palante who had four ks in five and two3 innings given up only one earn run had this slider and curveball picked up a sword the Orioles flew past the ray seven to five Corbin Burns had 5Ks in six Innings giving up three runs he had this cutter slider and picked up a sword on his curveball Justin steel had eight KS and six Innings giv up nowhere in runs as the Cubs beat the white socks three to one because if anybody's playing the white socks they beat the white socks justtin steel dominated with these sliders he faced Chris the snake Flex who had 1K in four scoreless Innings he did gave up four walks so command was in and had this curveball Max freed had nine KS in five innings giv up four earn runs as the Braves outscored the Rockies 11 to eight not my favorite game to watch to be honest I don't like a lot of runs will he had the sword on this fast ball had this change up and nasty curveballs in what I thought would be the pitching matchup of the day Zack gallon faced ainola and it really wasn't much of a pitcher duel the Dbacks absolutely killed the Philly 11 to one Zack gallon had three ks in four in third Innings giving up one run had this 97 mph paint as well as his change up and knuckle curve and he faced Aaron NOLA who had fourks in five innings giving up three runs and had this knuckle curve Paul skem had 8 ks in six Innings given up four runs he had these fast balls and painted with this one at 99 miles hour at these Wicked Splitters got shoh on this one that one is absolutely disgusting here's an overlay of his fastball and spinker you can see why that spinker can be tough to hit it comes in looking like that fast ball but the V difference and the drop get the hitter he also had this change up this slider and curveball but gave up a home run on his spinker for the first time in his major league career this one to tasa Hernandez and you can see skes look at it and say you got to be kidding me SK struggled a little bit in this outing as V was down about a mile an hour he averaged only 97.7 on his fast ball I say only but for him it's only 97.7 miles hour on his fast ball and the Dodgers beat the Pirates 4 to one he faced River Ryan who had fourks and four and two3 scored his hittings had this fast ball this curveball this slider while he messed with timing and then had to leave the game due to forearm tightness we're setting up prayers to River Ryan the Mariners beat the Mets four to nothing Logan Gilbert was outstanding with six strikeouts and seven scoreless hittings giving up only three hits he had this absolutely beautiful painted 98 mph heater these Cutters and these Splitters at 590 and 562 RPMs yep there are knuckle balls that have more spin than Logan Gilbert's Splitters these things are absolutely disgusting he F Shawn manah I decided Shawn manah song should be sha manah manah had three ks in three Innings even up three runs had his fast ball elevated two seamer and of course his new song now into my filthiest relievers Emanuel class had this 101 and 102 mph cutter Pete Fairbanks had this gross change up brand herder had this painted sweeper of course I have to feature Brandt as he threw in my base Michael copc had this cutter and elevated fast ball Hector nerys had these Wicked Splitters and Robert Suarez had this 100 m hour gas my top five filthiest pitches of the day yesterday at number five devid Williams and his perfectly painted air bender look at this pitch the Airbender is back and I am so excited and number four Carlos rodon and his perfectly painted 99 M hour heater and number three Logan Gilbert and his low spin rate Splitters and number two the spaghetti pirate and all of his stuff and a number one Mason mother Miller who had 3ks topping out at 103.3 miles an hour and had this 90 mph slider love watching this dude pitch and now my pitching ninja Moment of Zen I may not be a major league manager or a major league player but I would have thrown home here third they're going to wave him home the throw is cut off and no throw home what is up with this throw the ball my picks of the day today I'm going to start out with
