Julianne Huff is reflecting on her journey of coming out and the growth she has experienced over the years the Dancing with the Stars host recently shared her thoughts on the Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast providing an update on her sexuality nearly 5 years after publicly identifying is not straight coming out is one of the most vulnerable and empowering things you can do Julianne revealed in the August 27th episode for me it's not about being straight gay bi or queer it's more about understanding what love is I love people and I'm not entirely sure what I'm attracting to but I Choose You the 36-year-old actress and Dancer explained that her journey has led her to see people more deeply I began to see people's hearts their beauty and their Essence in a new way she said it was a beautiful Revelation to realize that I love people for who they are regardless of sexual or romantic attraction Julianne first spoke about her sexuality in a 2019 interview with Women's Health where she recalled telling her then husband Brooks L you know I'm not straight right his surprised reaction was met with Julianne's re insurance I'm not but I choose to be with you Julianne and Brooks a hockey player divorced in 2022 after nearly 5 years of marriage reflecting on their time together Julianne describes the relationship as pivotal it was the greatest thing that could have happened to me at that time she said I needed to reconnect with my 10-year-old self and find safety and stability Brooks provided that grounding Force serving as a stable figure in my life despite their separation Julianne views their marriage positively we are important and special to each other we shared a powerful season together she said we both brought meaningful things into each other's lives and the respect and love we have for each other continue to Foster growth Julianne's Reflections highlight her ongoing journey of self-discovery and the Deep respect she maintains for her past relationship
