The Guess Who: The Lawsuit Against Them Is “Meritless”

hello everybody it's Gary Stucky with real music well the band The Guess Who have filed a motion with a court to dismiss the lawsuit that has been filed against them by their former members of the band of course I'm talking about Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman two former members but the guess who posted this on social media they said you may have heard that two of the guest who's former members Randy Bogman and bur Cummings have filed a false advertising lawsuit against the yes who the lawsuit is meritless or advertising truthfully tells our fans who's in The guiz Who including founding member Gary Peterson we have filed a motion with a court to dismiss the lawsuit you can read the motion here and they put the link there which I'll put in the description of this video you can click on it and check it out uh we appreciate the support of our fans over over the years and look forward to putting this behind us and making more great music and they do have a great album out right now called plain diamore yes very awesome uh there's a video called The Pursuit Of No Regret and yours truly is in that video just saying check that out but anyway uh if you go to that document uh that they're talking about about 25 pages and they really uh show some interesting facts uh like the fact that uh Cummings fired Bachman in 1970 according to that so he wasn't even in the band you know and they have different people throughout all these years uh that have been in and out of the band and they were called The Guess Who since then I mean this is you know 40s something years of uh like comings not being in the band but you know they've rejoined the band and and left and things like that but it was never uh the case where they said that they had a problem with the Guess Who in fact according to those documents uh Cummings and Bachman said that it was okay to use the name and of course there are some other interesting facts in those documents you need to check out uh to find out more uh and I think you'll see what they're talking about but the main issue in the bottom line is uh they want uh those guys to dismiss the case and they should you know if you ever watch uh The Guess Who like online posting they always uh post about the former members it's all about uh the legacy of the band they' they've always done that they're not trying to uh you know lie have false advertising they're not trying to do that you know um people have the right to to decide if they don't like the the band anymore because the you know the main members they would say uh you know Cummings and Bachman aren't there anymore uh but they can't say that they have false advertising because they have said it over and over again who's in the band and you can see pictures they're posting all the time uh who's in the band so there you go but it it would be good for them to dismiss this and just let it go because you know honestly um when they're continuing the band it's really helping them out cuz people are going back and listening to the old music uh too and it just creates that excitement you know even though you know they had the opportunity to play with the guess who but they decided not to play with those guys you know and they they're doing their own thing the band's doing their own thing uh everybody is happy you know uh you don't have to like the new version if you don't want to and go back and listen to the old music uh it's just a matter of opinion but the the main issue is just letting it all go I think that would work out for the best just saying hey thanks for watching everybody and uh be sure to subscribe if you haven't already and always remember to keep the music real
