We've got some alarming new details tonight about a Listeria outbreak and this is linked to those recalled. Boar's head Deli Meats. The problem has been traced back to the company's head plant in Virginia CBS. News got a hold of some documents and they show federal inspectors flagged dozens of violations at the facility in Jarrett Virginia that is about an hour and a half west of Norfolk. The violations include mold and mildew and insects repeatedly found at the plant. At least 57 people have been treated at hospitals in more than a dozen states including Maryland and Virginia and the number of deaths has jumped to nine making this the largest outbreak of Listeria since an outbreak back in 2011, caused by cantaloupe. One of the people who got sick but survived filed a lawsuit against Boar's head earlier this month.
