thank you straight sets uh hour 49 minutes efficient must be very pleased with your performance yeah I'm just happy to be through in two sets um we had some long rallies out there it was uh was not easy a trick your opponent and um you know my back locked up in the end so I was just happy that I was able to finish it in two sets and not having to be out there for a lot longer right well congratulations once again questions what's your report card on yourself through this stage of the tournament from your expectations through what you've accomplished so far I think I played extremely well in the first match I think there was really not much that I would have done better today um very different opponent um she really took the pace off the ball and and um you know then it became hard to really finish off the point and I um yeah I felt like I I those moments when I I could have finished off the point easier or quicker but had to be out there and grinding but I'm I'm happy that I was able to just finish it off in two sets and obviously my body has been a little wonky um so that's something that obviously is slightly concerning but also something that I'm very you know optimistic about um having the day off tomorrow and and then you know um getting that all settled before for my next match so um lots of positives to bring with me moving forward um and honestly it's all about just getting through um good or or not so good or great doesn't really matter as long as I I get through when you started your comeback you did it with the belief that you could go deep at the most important tournaments so as you pile up wins what is the sense of satisfaction and thinking uh to when you began the comeback yeah I think it's it's very satisfying I love playing out on the big courts I love playing you know in in prime time and playing you know at these stag of the tournament and you know I I feel very satisfied that you know I'm in the third round and that I have the opportunity to play another match and and go even deeper and and obviously I believe in myself and in my game and if my body can hold up if I um and if everything kind of goes the right direction I believe that I can I can go very far how far we'll see but you know obviously I I always believed in myself and um this is this is one of those times that I'm playing you know a tournament that I feel very much at home it's a very good surface for me and I feel I feel optimistic about that in the back hey congratulations I just wanted like after late finish like this what's your kind of sleeping strategy and in general how you kind of try and manage your sleep to maximize performance and Recovery um it's not much of a strategy other than my husband unfortunately is stuck being up for another few hours because I get bored so you know I have to talk to him um you know it'll be a late night um I'll probably fall asleep I don't know what time is it now about 12:30 sometime 12:30 so if I can fall asleep by 2:30 that would be great adrenaline usually you know keeps me awake for a little bit and then sleep in tomorrow and and you know um other than that it's great you have an off day because you can kind of chill and and take it easy I obviously have my kids but you know we usually just do something easygoing um on the day off so I'm a great sleeper normally so it's not something that concerns me um tomorrow I'll go to bed early and then I feel like I'm 100% recovered for for the match that comes the next day in the middle hi Karen congratulations do you know your next opponent it's a French woman Califoria yeah I've seen her name in the draw quite a few times I've never um I've never played her um it's not something that right now that I'm GNA concern myself with um I'm just going to enjoy my win today and be happy that I'm in the third round and then once tomorrow afternoon comes around tomorrow night I'm going to start focusing on that match okay transition to Native
